Default Scope for Browning X-Bolt .223

Would one of the optic experts out there be good enough to suggest a scope in the $600-$900 range for a Browning White Gold X-Bolt .223 rifle? I realize that there are a million choices, but I plan on using it for target shooting from about 200-400 yards. I was looking at the VX-3 Leupolds, but really don't which model would be best, or even if a Leupold would be the best brand in my price range. I am wide open here for your suggestions. Thanks.

4-16X, 3-12x magification, or around there, would be nice for target shooting if youre trying to be more precise. PST (FFP or SFP), Bushnell Elite, Nikon Monarch, etc

Some guys prefer a little lower magnification even when target shooting at those distances, just depends on what you like.

A real nice choice thats getting out there a little more is the Zeiss Conquest HD5 3-15x42. 3-15X will be nice from 50 yards out to well over 500. Solid turrets and amazing glass....its Zeiss.
