Default Underwood Ammo 125gr Gold Dot 357 SIG Gel Test





Finished up the testing of the Underwood Ammo 125gr Gold Dot 357SIG round. Here are the conditions and results.

Test conditions:
-Glock 22 with a G31 barrel (20lb spring)
-Test rounds fired from 10 feet
-"FBI spec" (Their term, not mine...) Clear Ballistics gel block
-4 layers of denim

Results:
-1558 FPS, 673 FT/LBS Energy
-17'' of penetration
-Recovered weight: 124gr

Wow....that ammo is zippy stuff. I'am a big fan of Underwood Ammo and I feel for the money it is a good value as well.

Thosr 125gr bullets are tough. The underwood 180gr gold dot in 10mm at 1350fps ripped apart and shed its jacket in a tnoutdoors9 test. That is full .357 magnum loading in a 15rd handgun, I'm impressed.

I wonder what that 125gr bullet looks like coming out a 9x25 dillon at 1800fps. Boom.
