Default RIA 1911 9mm question

So I went to a local gun shop and they had one on sale but IMO little too much but the guy mentioned that they are not on the list of legal guns in California. I wanted to buy one over the internet but seems I cant. How do people here in California buy these here in CA? I looked at the approved list and it was not on there. How would I go about buying a RIA 1911 in 9mm?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

You have to SSE it. RIA makes some pretty good guns for the money. I love my RIA .45!

You can get one via an SSE if you find an FFL that does them.
This thread has all the info you need:

As far as finding one, your best bet is to find an FFL that does them and have them order one for you. Oh, my buddy has one that he got from a vendor here, EBR, I think, and it is a sweet gun.

Good Luck!

Talk to Mike at Tracy Rifle & Pistol. That's where I ordered mine. Great people there and reasonable prices. I love my RIA 9mm Tactical. I have about 1000 rounds through it and have had zero problems with it.

If it's sitting there, it's "a little too much," and you want it, go for it. Shipping & fees add up.

And it's not a "California legal" roster. It's "California approved."

I bought a brand new RIA .38 Super at the Cow Palace show last year for $375+tax+dros. Paid $60 for a 9mm barrel and dropped it in. Shoots great and is very accurate.

Default No Tactical

The good side here is that you can shoot 38 Super which wasn't as impacted as 9mm in this ammo crisis, but the down side is their 38 Super only comes in the GI Model.

My brother bought a 9mm tactical in Missouri for under $500 OTD, he's up to 300 rnds and said its been great with no issues.
