I have lost interest in Mini/AK/AR/tacticool variant rifles in the past six months so I sold all of mine. I'm more interested in bolt guns, WWII era rfiles these days. If BRD hits me one day, I will counter it with a nice M1 Garand.

SKS-Owned one for years and they are junk

1911's-Had one for a few years and they are low capacity, hard to clean, heavy, need to be babied, expensive for the decent ones, and not as reliable as modern guns

XD: Glock knock off and grip safety, no thanks

M&P: Another knock off Glock?

Any sub-compact. Can't carry in this liberal bastion of idiots, so what's the purpose.

Any gun in a caliber that you can't find loads of (in a non-panic) on the shelf. Any gun in a caliber that costs a ton (500 S&W, etc).

XD's. Tried one out once, didn't like the way it felt in my hand.

HiPoints.

Swiss K31's (that'll ruffle a few feathers).

I personally think ARs are "bleh", nothing about them that gets me excited. AR-15s are the Honda Civics of the ricer community.

No desire for an AK.

Almost thinking of selling my AR for some more C & R stuff.

Something about the "oldness" that I love.

Interesting and fun thread!!

Any traditional firearm reimagined with rails all over it. Like lever actions with rails or AKs with AR furniture and rails. They sell like anything else in this current market but I'm still not a fan. I can stop and appreciate nearly any firearm though for various reasons and gain appreciation to more as time goes by and I get to get up close and handle more. Also whatever floats someones boat is their business. The above mentioned things will likely never be in my collection though.

Five pages and no one mentions the SCAR? Perhaps I was blinded by hatred and missed it.

Anything in .22, rifle or pistol. Might as well just go get a pellet gun imho.

Any of those little compact .380s. Rugers especially.

SCARs.

Beretta, CZ and AR/AK pistols.

I'm sure i can think of others...

For me I have absolutely zero interest in the SKS and Mini-14.

Just curious.
Here is why I own multiple SKS's: They are cheap. They required no paperwork. They can be easily modified. I can abuse the crap out of it and it still performs. I have found that with minimal modification, it equals the performance of an AK platform. My only significant fault with the SKS is the free floating firing pin that when mucked up with dirt and grime can cause a slam fire. This is the cheapest thing to fix by using an aftermarket drop in spring assisted pin.

I own AR, AK and SKS weapons systems and each has there pro's and con's.

Mini-14's I find have cycling problems. Not sure if this was ever overcome in later years or if there are some mods to rectify this.

I hated the look of Glocks and other firearms, but learned a long time ago that nothing is more important than function and reliability.

I used to mock those that bought SKS's until I saw what can be done with them and saw all of the myths exploded before my eyes. I believe that using looks as the criteria for rejecting a superior reliably functioning firearm is irrational.

There are the Glock haters.
There are the Glock lovers.

I am neither. I own two that will soon expand to four because they digest just about any ammo I can feed them, they are reliable, and I do not have the irrational fear that lack of enough safety features will get me or those around me killed although this may be a valid concern for the untrained beginner.

I would not throw the baby out with the bath water. I consider the total weapon system and if it exceeds my rational criteria, I buy it no matter how uncool or cool they are or look. If it looks really cool AND is superior, bonus!

1911s, I've owned a couple and sold them all.

Overpriced and under 10 rounds for a full size gun is ridiculous.
