I'm constantly tempted as well. In my 10 day wait on my last rifle I bought 4 mags, a sling, swivel studs, swivels, and a bipod. Oh and aftermarket sights.

^^Gonna miss the Wifey, eh?!

It all starts with "just one" then keeps growing. I'm up to...uh...none now, ever since the unfortunate boating accident.

before i ever had any guns, i could never figure out how/why people would have more than 10 guns. figured between 10 guns they could more than cover all their needs. now i understand perfectly how some people get to 100+ guns...

Ill go next. Hello, my name is Zimz and I'm an addict. It has been 3 weeks since my last purchase. Went in for a cleaning kit and bought a new shotgun. I still have many more on my wish list... I don't foresee any cure for my problem. Thanks for listening

Beat me to it Zimz!

My Wife is not happy and thinks I am flirting with the edge of the deep end, and I have barely started. She thinks my ultimate list of 15 firearms I want to have is unreasonable..... I sure hope she comes around, I would miss her!

My main concern is spending too much (even if I have the funds, but can be used for something different).

So today, I decided to stop 'looking' all the time 'just for fun, or something to do' (flirting with disaster). When I feel the need to look, I decided to recognize that its just a disease (certainly a fun one though) and that I can fill that 'void' with something else. So I plan doing something around the house, work, or whatever, that I've been putting off instead. I hope this works. I might even consider selling one or two that I don't shoot often. We'll see...

For all of you, STOP LISTING ALL OF THE STUFF I WANT!!! There, that should do it.

I sold a gun today. One I don't shoot much. I'm sticking with the 1911's and revolvers.

You don't need to quit buying. Just quit loving all types of guns and focus on what you like.

For me, it was semi-auto pistols. Then revolvers, but of course I couldn't sell most of my favorite semi-auto pistols.

I'm actually pretty comfortable with what I have now.

Or so I thought until I bought 2 guns in two days on GUNBROKER.

(OMG, I'm so weak).

Lol, I don't see anything wrong with loving all types of guns. I just wish my wallet was big enough to match the admiration...

No one has said it yet. I will help you. Where would you like to meet so we can PPT your problems over to me and I will dutifully take care of them for you. I do not have a problem and I have plenty of space. You will get relief and your domestic life will normalize.

This goes for anyone else seeking this type of help. I've got big shoulders and am willing to bear the burden.

I don't really know what it was worth in today's frenzy all you can do is make the offer and see what happens.

I sent you a PM with more details.

Just when I thought I was cured... now I want another AR (now that they can be found). I keep seeing the 6920 and have to close the page. Tell me why I should stop myself.

I finally stopped going to gun stores and gun shows. Then I got into building and there's stopping it.

One man's addiction is another man's trash. Don't let your addiction to purchasing guns become quantity over quality.

I am glad I am not alone. I tried not stepping into gun stores and I still manage to get guns through PPT and online non stop. I am meeting my table top FFL twice a month 10 and 20 days apart for handguns since the beginning of this year or the end of last year. I keep telling myself that I will sell off some of my collections some day but still hasn't happen yet.

Yeah have to keep myself from buying a .45. I've also been weening myself off of buying ammo lol I set a 30 dollar a month limit for myself, since my work hours align perfectly to walmarts ammo shipment hours, I was able to buy ammo a few times a week, buy my 3 box limit, 4 different caliber guns to feed, it was costing too much.

Why is this stuff so addictive?

Hi, my name's Bill, and I'm an addict..... I'm on a 60 day chip for buying completed weapons, but, I've fallen off the wagon at least weekly purchasing components, ammo, uppers, and talking dirty to my local gunsmith to design me my ultimate SBR.... I need help.... I cannot rely of my wife, she bought her first pistol in the last couple months and keeps begging me to take her shooting more than once a month......How's a brother to survive?

LOL.....

I understand.

I was going to the store to get a cooked chicken. I was too lazy to cook.

I came home with a S&W 686. As that dammm gun store is tween my house and the supermarket.

It's not my fault. It's the gun stores fault. I should sue em. Or buy stock in their company.

I'm finding myself in the same situation. I recently finished an AR308 build, picking up a handgun out of jail this Tuesday, now looking at another handgun that caught my interest.

My problem is ammo hoarding. I won't even shoot any because that means it's not hoarded anymore LOL.
