Default K31 for $200?

I was at The Gun Exchange in San Jose yesterday to pick up a Marlin .22, and spied this leaning against the wall in the back. I don't know what to make of it... the stock looks excellent compared to my two K31s at home. It's smooth, but doesn't appear sanded and the dings suggest (to me) that its original. But there is no finish on it. I can't remember much about it now, but I did take a pic (attached). The bore is excellent and so is the metal everywhere except the butt plate and sling mount. And the rear sight was replaced with a peep style sight (that's the original rear sight taped to the forend).

Anyway, for $200 I thought it was a steal so I bought it. I'll share more in 10 days

It looks like it might be refurbed, but who cares...they are great shooters.

You done good son.

I love mine, they are great guns. One of the ones you will want to reload for. The ammo is not cheap and harder to find but what a great rifle. Every self-respecting C&R fan should own one.

It does look like it has been sanded, but a sanded K31 is a steal these days at $200.

Good job

Good deal. The K31s are excellent rifles, super accurate.

Luckily I have two cases of GP11 stashed away. Sounded like a lot when I had one k31 and no kids.

They have quite a few neat guns there, including two Hakims. And the're really nice folks, too.
