Default Anyone have experience to share with a GunVault SpeedVault SV500?

My sister will be visiting soon and bringing her 7 year old son. I want to lock up my XD 9 pistol while he's in the house, but still keep it somewhat accessible.

Has anyone tried one of these? I'm guessing a not-particularly-determined thief could get in, but a 7-year old probably not? And how easy is it to access if I need to get in myself?

I mounted the one with the four push buttons on the side of my night stand. Easy access, not very noticeable. No way a kid could get into it.

Fort Knox makes a damn good one that uses a simplex lock. It's an actual safe and is designed to be opened in a second with one hand.

Try the local safe dealers and you should be able to find one in stock.
