Just took this one out to the range today for the first time...it's a Beretta Stampede Marshall in 45LC and an Antique finish. I'm thinking about a nice little knight of Eld sigul on the barrel if anyone knows of an engraver here in the Bay Area worth mentioning...

This is my S&W Model 19-4 with 4" barrel, target hammer and target trigger. I bought it in July 1980 because I wanted something that matched my AF supplied weapon and packed more punch. It's still sweet and accurate using either 38 special or 357 magnum.

Very nice!
I just picked up my 19-4 last week and have already enjoyed it at the range. Wonderful piece of hardware

Here are two of my four classic revolvers that are tricky to get in CA:

Here's my 686+ and what it can deliver. I shot this at Davis Street in San Leandro at the 12.5 yard range, using Miwall 158 JHP.

This group consists of 21 rounds.

New-to-me S&W 686-2 courtesy another Calgunner, fresh after a complete teardown and deep cleaning ready for her first match/maiden voyage. New extractor, a new pair of Craig Spegel square butt grips, slide rebound polished and lubed in all the right places. Butter, meet smooth.

I haven't tried--the strongest thing I use while cleaning a revolver is a nylon brush. I suspect a brass brush might slightly polish the finish.

Edit: I also had the same treatment done to a no-dash 2.5" 686:

Damn. I'm going to find me a 4" nickel 19 someday. I want one just because that was my dad's duty weapon.

Settling for my 6" 586 right now, a sweet revolver.

Thanks guys!

I had the chance to take the nickel 19 out for it's first time yesterday, 2nd time for the blued 19. Both shot great, and the balance of the 4" k-frames felt quite nice.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results.

Here are a few picks of my latest project. The top photo is the gun with a custom 5" barrel that Mark Kearns did for me. I could never get used to the feel of the gun with that barrel so after talking my bud Schlamoo out of a new Python barrel, off to Craig Maraviov it went for a Smolt conversion. He had already done a competition tune on it and it's super smooth. This may be the ultimate Smolt conversion as it balances super nice and has a perfect feel.

The price of that "dash ten" is embarrassing. But oh so nice to have a brand new- old-ish dirty harry gun.
