How can consumers be OK with exorbitant shipping costs?
I could always use more .22, but there are people who want it more than I do!

Well, you just have to look at the total cost with the shipping and decide if it's worth it or not. With .22 going for $80/500 + shipping on gunbroker still it's not such a bad deal.

Personally I had a $6 item I've been meaning to get from Midway so I went ahead and picked up a brick. Thanks caguns!

I DO realize this is in Rimfire Firearms. But, just trying to help out. I was at Turner's in Signal Hill during lunch today, and they actually had Remington 9mm 100 packs for $30.99 ea., limit 200 rounds. I noticed the very small pile would get depleted, and then they seemed to bring out more boxes. I bought 2 boxes (the limit). I asked about .22, and was told they had some this morning.

It's a CB round, like a BB instead of a bullet.

.08ppr before shipping.

EDIT
Looked the back-order receipt from Cabelas, who had Thunderbolt listed for $24.00 / 500 (.048ppr) two weeks ago. Natchez is upping their prices AND charging an arm-and-a-leg for shipping.

I've been looking for some 17 HMR ammo for the past couple weeks and finally found some so I thought I'd share. They have CCI 16 gr. hollow point for $12.95 and Remington 17 gr. Accutip for $17.95

LAgunclub sells 50rd boxes for $5
American Eagle
Remington Golden Bullet
Lapua ($6)
CCI minimag ($10) (Only when your shooting in range)
They allow to-go w/o shooting except minimag
I think 5-6/box is understandable

Eley Club cheaper than Colt .22lr bulk, crazy to buy the Colt .22lr as the Eley will be extremely more accurate.

Lots of flippers on Gunbroker selling the .32 Prvi rounds.

Is there a limit to how many boxes you can buy and shoot at the range?

Personal choice, buy whatever floats your boat. I prefer more precision @ a lower or equal cost. Afterall the Brits are our friends.

Thanks, pick up 5 boxes limit I guess of the cci mini mags, 40 gr.

Shipping and handling is just retarded but hey, no more waiting in line for me. Price I must pay to be lazy.

5 might have been all they had. and that limit is per type. i grabbed 10 boxes of stingers and 10 boxes of velociters. my issc m22 semi auto can finally be shot again...picky bastard.

and for those that don't shoot a lot of the cci non bulk, stingers and such were 10-15 cents a round pre panic. you'll pay about 17 cents here after shipping.

The limit's 10 for stingers and velociters and 5 for mini mags and standard velocity.

Be sure to remove the 2 pound "free" catalog! It will save you a couple of bucks on shipping!

Thanks, just cost me some money.

Been waiting for some CCI to pop up somewhere. Have a ton of LRN 22LR but can't shoot that at my local indoor range. Was down to my last couple of boxes of CCI.

Plus they had some mags for my new Glock in stock so that helped round out the order.

I ended up changing my order, went 500 ea. of stinger, veloc and mini's, helped on per unit cost not getting killed on shipping, just under .15 a round.

No more striking out at Wally world for me, I'm done, may come in handy someday for barter, who knows.

thats why i ordered so much, helps with shipping costs to lower ppr. since following this thread, i've grabbed 500 stingers, 500 velociters, 525 rem GB (2 boxes), 1000 rounds of the sk ammo, and 600 minimags.

i finally have ammo for each of my 22s. i've been trying to stock up because my 5 year old is ready to start learning. i'm still looking for the cheap bulk pack of winchester or federal for my 10/22 because it gets a little pissy with the GBs, but other than that, i'm good to go now.

Good thing I woke up a tad early today and scoped out slickguns.com! I just placed an order with Natchez. This is my 2nd time ordering from them, shipping is not bad I guess. I consider it the same with Tax/Gas/Waitiing in line.

I bought:
CCI 22 LR VELOCITOR GDHP 50 RD $7.99 = 5 Boxes
CCI 22 MINI-MAG LR 100 RD $8.94 = 5 Boxes
CCI 22 LR STD VELOCITY 40GR 100RD BX $9.46 = 5 Boxes
CCI 22 LR SUB-SONIC HP $8.49 5 = 5 Boxes
CCI 22 LR PISTOL MATCH 50 RD $9.99 = 2 Boxes

This is all for my 22/45 MKIII

does it actually show up in the browse for rimfire? or do you have to link to it directly?

i have the cabelas rimfire tab linked in my favorites. i don't even think it refreshes. the rem gb525 that someone posted from slickguns to cabelas has been in and out of stock a few times. i've scored on it on two separate occasions right after checking cabelas actual site.

Hi guys! I finally bought my first gun, a Ruger 10/22. Now how should I go about buying ammo?

Keep an eye on this thread and the sales/deals section in the marketplace subforum. If you get lucky, you might find some at a reasonable price. If you are desperate, go to the ammo classifieds.
