what is the "from" when you get the email? I used my work email and didn't think about it I get some 300 emails a day and need to keep an eye out for this one.

We have received and verified your recent order. There is nothing that we will be able to tell you about the order until we have input all orders received ahead of yours into the system. Your order will now advance to our sales area and from there to our shipping area. Please note, that unless otherwise listed, our order to ship time is at least 30-60 days. You will receive other emails as the order progresses.

Your customer # is XXXXXX. The order will not show as pending on the estore until the Sales Department processes and assigns an order number to it. If you have any problems logging onto the estore, please let us know.

Thank you for your order and your support of our program.

Still no word yet on mine (with delivery confirmation of 1/4 as well), maybe I will get it tomorrow. Did you already have an account set up or is this your first order? This is my first order so I don't know if that has any effect.

Sent order in priority mail on the 4th, got my DBU yesterday.

I ordered some cans of surplus HXP and clips for it on the 4th, and got my shipping notification last week, the ammo shipped Friday, and the clips on Thursday, I got the clips yesterday, ammo is supposed to be here tomorrow.

Also, if you get a birch stock, and don't mind finishing a stock, the walnut ones from DTC look beautiful. Order the unfinished ones for 99 bucks and finish it yourself. Someday the orange birch cmp stocks are going to be sought after as they're a part of the Garand history.

How long did it take for them to cash your checks? My order was received a little over a week ago and the check has yet to be deposited. How long do they usually take to do this?

re: stocks - from what Orest has said recently they've moved to walnut but there are still birch ones in the system - maybe 25% of the new stocks in inventory are birch.

Some of them definitely looked better than others. I've seen some really nice ones. But the walnuts are definitely nicer on average.

I shall hold off on picking up a DTC unfinished one until I receive my order. Should be interesting, I'm burning through my 12 this year as I don't expect them to last until 2014, and I don't want to deal with an FFL transfer after Jan 1 of next year. I'm "done" buying rifles. Well, until I move...

The only reason to hold off on your allotment would be if you wanted a shot at IHCs when they come out later this year.

They deposit checks "right away" so that they've cleared by the time they're ready to ship. But, yeah, "right away" means after they've opened it...

Ordered ammo at the same time. Wonder if they'll ship at the same time or if the ammo will come right away?

Ammo and rifles ship seperatly, normally ammo ships first. Even though it ships first it will still take weeks as they are very backed up from all the panic buyers

As soon as I get my C&R(applied this week) I am joining the GCA and ordering a Garand. My grandfather is a Korean war vet and it is his dream to shoot one of these rifles that he spent so much time with again.

New info from CMP only 10 cans of ammo now allowed a calender year due to demand so they can still have supply for 1-2 years.

Just thought I'd quote my wisdom from the day before.

In all seriousness I know they have more rifles. They just need some time to unpack them, inspect them and grade them. However, I am imagining a price increase when they come back in stock. Hopefully before the end of the year!
