If you don't want to end up on 4/13 shooting by yourself. Follow the instructions from Mr. Lonewolf in post #1. It is secret for a reason!

Default I will gladly exterminate more undead again...

I guess we didn't get all of them last year. Even after we made a bonfire out of all the zombie corpses a few cells must have survived to spread the zombie plague again.

Will try to bring extra shooters again to hold the line against the zombie onslaught. I personally have 2 new weapons, sooner rather than later;
(thanks to the other zombies in Washington) to fight the zombie hordes.

For planning purposes... Are there any restroom facilities? My mother would dig this, but I think it would be too much to ask of her to take a squat.

My old Scion TC was able to make it out there fine. Just park at the bottom of the hill where the RV's and cars are parked. I saw a Benz sedan make it up the hill but I wasn't going to try it. Trucks only on the hill usually.

Just lump your gear or have someone in a truck lump it up the small hill to the firing line. Its only about 200 feet from the RV area to the firing line

I'm probably out. The 14th is my b-day. Also, there's a FCSA match in Reno the next weekend and, if I go, I usually go for the week before the match too.

Guys - last year a group of us had a blast doin some night time shooting, but we weren't as prepared as we would have liked to be. I recommend thinking up some creative ways (glow sticks, glow paint?) to be able to see your targets at night - especially the steel ones, the sparks look hella cool at night. It would be sweet if we could get more goin this year

CSA and I went up one year in his car. With 2 not so slender adults and one skinny one we had that thing bottomed out on the suspension with... provisions and made it up the hill, literally driving around someone in a truck who had no idea how to drive. Go on the weekend and hand out for the week afterwards! What better way to celebrate your b-day than shooting guns with hundreds of others?
Or are you too ???

I already bought 5 new toys this year to bring out and play with!

We should lay some meat on the ground and get some of those bug-a-salt guns from Big Bronco and do some sport shooting when the flys come out.

To remind those who have gone before and to assure those new to the sport or bringing up people new to the sport; there will be, as always, a safety meeting prior to the big shoot on Sat. The safety rules will be explained and certain people will be appointed to act in case of (God forbid) an accident.

Hopefully, we will have sufficient two way radios and a PA bullhorn so the RSO and the assistants, will be able to properly communicate with the line during cold and hot periods. We do not want anyone to get hurt!

If anyone is able to bring those electronics up like last year, it will be appreciated. Also, we will need some air horns to assist in starting/stopping the shooting.

I'm busy folding paper into triangles for "footballs" and going to send some projectiles down-range with fury!

I'll bring my two way radios.

Mr. Lonewolf, I remember seeing a compensator going down-range once! You may want to hang on to that thing this time!

How many radios do we need? I can probably get up to 4 VHF handhelds. I can also provide any other communications that might be needed. Depending on the exact location, the possibillity of wifi coverage through one of my local backhauls.

I was wondering about this. The people using frs/gmrs radios are not going to be able to communicate with those using vhf or murs radios.

Being out in the open, vhf would be the ideal choice to use.

Is there a date settled yet? There are 2 new Calgunners here that are very interested in doing some zombie shootin' and we are ready to go! Btw, would CB radios be of help? We have two vehicle mounted units, although one of them is a small unit, we can easily remove it and bring it along (assuming we can make the mystery date of course).

Having never done this event, I don't know if it would be applicable, but has anyone asked a local vendor about a bulk ammo buy and/or sponsorship of some sort? I'm thinking specifically of one of the nearby shops like ammobros, or turners or something?

Can we set a couple watermelons as targets? Would there be any objections?

I have steel and paper but thought popping a couple watermelons would be fun lol. Although in that heat I'll probably end up eating them first.

What sort of things can we bring as targets, by the way? Paper, wood, little bouncy rubber doohickeys, steel, old water tanks, etc....?
