Not yet. It should be in the works in the next year or so. I'm waiting for one as well!

Interfamily transfer from my adult daughter in Oklahoma.

I want one as well. The Glock 21 Gen 4 has arrived and I may get one of those as well.

If you are really openly stating that you plan on following certain members around from thread to thread so you can harrass them, you're right "that's" not going away soon, but you will be.

Knock it off.

One more thing...I think the recoil spring (Dual Spring) is going to be difficult for GLOCK to perfect on the heavy slide G20. I've heard good reports on the Glock 21 from a few sources, but shooting .45 is not the same as running hot loads in 10MM. I guess we can wait and see..

Glockstore.com is even selling an adaptor ring that fills the front hole on the GEN 4 slides so you can run the GEN 3 springs.

My question: If you have to run GEN 3 springs in a GEN 4 Glock why spend the money in the first place. (or is the frame texture worth all that $)

The Glock gen 4 nothing special. Just copying the XD. If Glock was smart they would have just adjusted the gen 3 frame and left the slide alone. with a tons of parts on the market for the gen 3 why buy a gen 4.

You don't feel the dual recoil spring and the adjustable back straps a copy from the XDm. The other change to the glock the ambidextrous mag release

First you said the Glock pistols copy the XD and now you bring the XDM into the discussion. Nice try. Lets see. GLock has been in the market for what... umm.. 25+ years.... Since you brought up the dual recoil spring...... have you ever shot any of the sub compact Glock (g26, g27, etc..)? They all have dual recoil spring.

Yes it is, or you will be going away.

Is this clear?

is the XDm not an XD. and yet the standard XD still has the dual recoil spring. And yes glock been round since the 80s. I'm not challenging the success of pistol, just pointing out what the 4th gen brings to the table. Nothing more but a changeable back strap and a dual recoil spring.

And the whole larger, ambidextrous magazine button thing.

The dual spring should be fine, and in fact, it's far more suited to the more powerful rounds than the old spring was. Sometimes I feel the recoil spring on the Glock is really just to get the slide back into battery.

You sir have no clue. The "baby" Glocks have used a dual spring forever. What did Glock copy that the XD has? reversible mag release? So Springfield Armory was the first person to come up with a reversible mag release?

Glock has been in business for a while, and they're continually made improvements, even if small, during this time period. Some changes were subtle and others not. I really like the changes that Glock made to the Gen4 line, and I'm glad they didn't copy the XD. If I ever had to use a punch to detail strip my slide I'd sell the gun.

Can't wait. But if I REALLY can't wait, I'll end up with the SF model.

The grip texture of the frame is also an improvement. No need to stipple or add rubber.

XDM's look cool and all but Glock's are still the most reliable gun on the planet. You could always buy a Gen3 and send it to Robar to have it customized.

I like my 3rd gen Glock 20 and have no idea why everyone is so excited about the 4th gen. You married guys don't go around with other women when you have a great wife at home, do you? So why not be happy with what you have, which isn't a compromise at all.

After owning a RTF2 G17, I no longer want my G20...

I guess it would be like a married guy spending the night with a dominatrix.. :P

I have a G20SF (LWD G20L), a GEN 4 G21, and I used to have 2 G21SF's (Standard & Pic Rail). I can tell you that the GEN 4 large frame feels WAY better in hand, and I absolutely LOVE my GEN 4 G21. It has eaten over 600rds flawlessly, including RA45TP, WWB, Federal & some Reloads. My stock G20SF has handled HOT 10mm ammo perfectly, so I feel 100% confident that the GEN 4 G20 will too whenever it gets released. I plan on buying one as soon as they Glock starts shipping them.
