100 .32 ACP for my Nagant revolver with conversion. Weirdest loads you ever saw but a work in progress. Berry's HBWC with about half exposed, 2.0gr Bullseye. I am still sooting cases (I think the HBWC slightly increases case capacity) so I also have a few trial loads in 2.2 and 2.4 which is into the +P range but I am not shooting a lightweight alloy blowback and there is no load data out there for .32 ACP in revolvers. I would like to get rid of the sooting without overpressure signs. Right now the casings literally fall out of the cylinder and the primers are not showing any pressure signs. The work goes on.

And 100 rounds of .357 125 gr Hornady XTP over 22.0 grains of H110 with Remington 5.5 primers and tight crimp. I LOVE this load. Accurate in the Ruger GP100 and the casing fall out of the cylinder.

Joe,

I take it you will be at the multi-gun macth at Chabot this weekend.

Wanna commute?

Come over to my place, and I will take us the rest of the way...and bring you back. Save on gas.

Secondly, where's the little plastic piece I gave you for the "primer ski ramp"? (So the primers do not fly on the floor). I don't see it in the pictures.

And lastly, I love that extra-long powder tube. I am looking at purchasing one for myself...for loading .223 rounds. (The powder sure goes quick when mass-producing .223's).

50rds of 22-250 using Lapua brass, 36gr Barnes varmint Gernades, and RL-15 in various weights looking for that sweet unleaded load. 4000 - 4400+ fps.

"Have you tried any other powders? BE can be sooty"

Not yet. If I start showing signs of overpressure without getting rid of the soot, then it will be time for me to change over. I load for .38 and I'm trying to keep the number of powders on the shelf to the minimum. Right now I have no signs of high pressure so I have a little room to tweek. And I'm using a frame that is designed for a hotter cartridge than .32 ACP so I feel like I have a little wiggle room. I searched and could not find any specific data for the Nagant revolver in .32 so I am slowly working the load up from the minimum. I'm doing test batches of 10 and watching primers carefully against a control casing along with checking ejection force. My magnifying glass and I are good friends.

I haven't reloaded anything in many months...in fact, I think I've been to the range a total of maybe 3 times this year.

First time reloading in months... it felt good.

I did 100ea. 9mm Hornady 124G HP/XTP, 50 ea. 147G HP/XTP, and 73 ea. 125G Bear Creek RN.

That's the last of my bullets.
I've got 10,000 primers and a couple pounds of powder still, but I'm fresh out of bullets now.
Must buy more soon....

All on my little Rockchucker:

100 rds of 45acp, Bear Creek 230gr LRN over W231.
25rds of 10mm, DT 200gr WFNGC over various charges of 800X.
25rds of 9x25 Dillon, 115gr XTP over various charges of Longshot.
50rds of 9x25 Dillon, 90gr XTP over Longshot.

The 45 is for practice rounds, the 10mm & 9x25 Dillon were individually weighed twice for hunting load development. The 200gr WFNGC's will be between 1300-1360fps, and I'm hoping the 115gr XTP's see 1800fps. My 90gr XTP's are just for fun, and average 2050fps.

Just knocked out 150 rounds of 45ACP. 230gr fmj with 5gr of Bullseye. This load works great in my glock 36. Also tumbled and deprimed about 200 rounds from my last range trip. I just bought a Ruger LCR this afternoon, so I'm planning to pick up dies to reload 38spl after payday. I already have a few hundred pieces of 38 brass to get me started, just need to pick up bullets.

After expending close to 300 rounds of .45ACP at the Steel Challenge Match last Sunday, guess it is time to reload them.

Alright not today but last week:

1. casted the last of my lead 60lbs worth. Got 1100 40sw, 1200 .312 bullets that maybe sized for 300blk.

2. Loaded 600 rounds of 40sw

3. made 5 test load for 7.62x39, going to test this week

4. playing with 556 brass making 300 blackout cartridge. Waiting for barrel to get in so I can fireform the brass.

5. (today) I'll be trimming/sizing/measuring 5.56 brass so I can make 300 blackout brass out of them.

6. Hopefully size 40sw bullets I have sitting around. lol

zero.

For the first time in awhile I have no ammo. It feels really strange, but comforting that I can make ammo at will, not being dependent on Wallyworld or internet bulk sales.

I hand-loaded about a hundred rounds of ammo for a gun that I don't even own yet. I picked up a bunch of supplies for reloading 44mag a couple weeks ago. Too bad I can't fire them yet.

Please tell me this is 'normal' behavior...

Both?

Since the vacuum and trimmer are so loud I process a whole bucket at a time and then swage while I catch up on my tv shows. A 5 gallon bucket is about 5000 pieces the xl650 crushes through it in no time. I load 500-1000 at a time.

I hand-loaded about a hundred rounds of ammo for a gun that I don't even own yet. I picked up a bunch of supplies for reloading 44mag a couple weeks ago. Too bad I can't fire them yet.

Please tell me this is 'normal' behavior...
This is completely normal behavior.
