Featureless, meaning only ARs with no features. Got it.

A California featureless rifle has none of these parts:

Pistol Grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon.
Thumbhole Stock.
Folding or Telescoping Stock.
Grenade Launcher or Flare Launcher.
Flash Suppressor.
Forward Pistol Grip.

Operator of a featureless rifle can release magazines with a finger press. No need for a magazine lock. And these mags can be > 10 rounds.

Since we're in a picture thread... Here's a New York NY-SAFE Featureless:

Note they also can't have the evil bayo lug or the evil threaded barrel. No brakes, compensators, or flash hiders either. Owner of a NY-featureless rifle doesn't get to use the big mags but doesn't have to register his rifle with the state.

Does a bayonet/grenade launcher mount count as a feature? I can't figure it out. I've got a Romy G I am working on and want to get it right.

AFAIK bayonet lugs are GTG for featureless builds. They are not considered a feature.

you have a very nice rifle...I noticed that you have a rainier arms ambi charging handle and safety selector. What would make your rifle really nice is to add a troy ambi magazine release, a magpul trigger guard and a magpul or troy bad lever.....sweet.

Went featureless today! Got my order from Exile Machine for a "Blem" Hammerhead(and hole plugs) and a RRA Ambi-safety. So far feels good. Eventually I'll probably paint to match. Toying around with the idea of stippling(sp?) it a little bit.

It's no longer a scary "assault rifle", now its baby and puppy friendly

Oh and FYI, its the closed end YHM brake, so not a flash hider. Until Feinstein/Yee's next constitutional attack makes me weld it on or mill off the threaded end of my barrel

The question was "unintended thumbhole stock?" If the fin touches the buttstock, yeah, it's a thumbhole stock and the red line you're looking at isn't in play (that's a marker for "protruding pistol grip").

Fake bird cage. The slots are not completely milled out. Basically just a barrel extension with the correct look.

I really like the look of this one. I will probably buy a few parts from you guys (again) for my next build. I'm looking at creating a lightweight featureless AR build. This one really hits the spot.

I had one like that when running my M16A1 clone as a featureless. Mine was a Kurt's Kustom Firearms one. Pity Kurt died in a motorcycle accident several years back and the company went with him.

As far as I know it's one of the few featureless ones in CA, I mean it's not that hard to do. Big thanks to EBR Works for helping me out with this.
