I did not check out the posts, I did look T the poll.

Most of the questions seemed to me to lean toward the left.

I may be wrong, but that's JMHO.

I looked over the survey. IMO that is the type of data we should not be sharing. I believe it will be used against us.

I'm actually thinking that was written by a pro gun person. The second half of the poll asks firearm knowledge questions and I think the purpose is to show that anti gun people do not have a good grasp of their current laws and firearms in general.

The ammo feeding question bothered me though, as you can only select one answer while there are two correct answers.

I would wager that the person who designed this survey will ultimately publish the results in order to highlight the fact that 2A supporters know (at the very least) the fundamentals that everyone who enters the debate should know.

You know right off there is no way that anti-gun people would get any of the gun questions correct. Even Bloomberg thought ar-15's fire fully automatic.

I may have answered one question wrong. For the question, which option would create the largest number of CCW permit holders, I answered Constitutional Carry. Technically Shall Issue is probably the correct answer, because with constitutional carry you don't actually have a permit at all.

yeah, tricky .. I said "shall issue" because of the reason you cite, but it seems like a trick question.

I asked my friend who e-mailed me the link, who in turn had to do a bit of sleuthing. Apparently this is not a U of M project, but that of a student who is doing research for a dissertation. Like I've said, I have nothing but a gut feeling that they're pro 2A. I didn't see a noticeable slant in the questionnaire.

I wasn't sure about the question involving the US/UK comparison, but I answered #1 -- which as I recall simply stated that the violence rate in the US is higher. And yeah, the question relating to constitutional carry slowed me down also. Thanks to all who have taken the survey. Hopefully I'll also get an e-mail when results are published, but who knows.

I liked that the gun specific questions were all timed, although with fairly generous time limits. The time limit keeps those who don't know the answer from googling the answer to sound more "educated".

I liked how the timed questions were objective general firearms knowledge questions.

Those can actually be "graded" and can then compare the level of actual knowledge or lack of knowledge of the respondent... it'll be an eye opener for the anti respondents.

No questions on race. Given the left’s current obsession with identity politics, I suspect this survey doesn’t come from a left-leaning student.

I haven't had so much fun is a long time. I took that survey again, but this time as a 25 year old liberal college-degreed female who lives at home for free, and who supports gun control. I skewed every answer to something that illustrated total, utter ignorance and "my" belief that assault weapons (including "1911's, whatever they are...") are the devil's spawn. For every answer that suggested some level of awareness and reason, I didn't go extreme but moved toward moderate. When it came to statistics, I had totally drunk the Brady bunch's cool-aid. At best, if they could identify that entry in order to exclude it, it would burn time and resources to do so. Or they could leave it and further invalidate their "survey".

Most interesting is that depending upon how you describe yourself in the first page or two, you get a totally different survey!!! Absolutely check that out. Very enlightening to see how the other side frames their questions.
