Default 1911 FAMILY

First one is a ROCK ISLAND TACTICAL, no internal mods, shoots accurately and functions flawless.

Second is the little brother, RIA COMPACT tactical

Last is the Mrs's. Springfield Loaded 9mm.

Well ever snce I sold my Kimber Stainless II to Leitung, I needed to pick up another 1911. I ended up finding a good deal for a SA GI at River City. So even though it is bone stock and looks like all the others, here is mine

Better to have a Plain-Jane G.I. model than nothing at all!

The springfield G.I. felt great in hand when I check one out. Lots of room for modification fun!

Thanks! That is what I get for having friends with great taste. The railed Pro is next. Also looking to build a Commander in 9mm for IDPA. Does it ever end?

I am planning on having it built by the Springfield Custom shop.

I am also hoping to come across a Kimber 5" SIS (non-rail) someday...

Taurus PT-1911.
I absolutely love this gun.
It has the Wood Pachmayer grips with the rubber wrap around on 'em right now. Thing is accurate, super reliable, easy to shoot - and the trigger is crisp and smooth. Best $550 i've ever spent.
