Thumbs up Gallery of Kids shooting their .22s !!

There have been individual threads before and it's great to see them...now, let's get them all in one pic thread to see our proud kids and their .22s all together.

If you have pics that you have posted before, or new ones to share, please do so here!

Here's my boy with his Savage Rascal bolt action .22 with peep/iron sights today out at the police academy range. Not bad shooting both from the bench and standing/off hand from 25 yards...should also note that it was a bit windy and the noon sun was in our eyes. Lil guy shot better than his old man....

Happy New Year !!

Here is a picture of me and my oldest boy shooting our ways to our rifleman's patch at an Appleseed match. We are the bottom shooters. My son shot his 10/22T and I shot my retro M16A1. Lots of father and son bonding and great experience.

Default Awesome idea for a thread

My son is 10 now, but he has been shooting since he was about 5.

So here are some pictures from over the years.

His Quadpod

My son and my Dad. My dad was shooting his Garand.

Shooting our old Savage TRR

Shooting my old Larue Stealth upper

And more recently his M&P 22

And the 10/22 I build him a couple of months ago

my 8 year old daughter shooting for her first time with her new rifle. After a 10-15 shots she calmed down and started getting on the target and making decent shots for a first timer. It is an understatement to say she is hooked. One happy dad here.

My son & his Christmas rifle 1st outing at Iron Sights. These place has an awesome staff! Very cordial. My son wanted his mom to shoot also but she wasn't all that interested. IS's had her do the test in case she changed her mind and was out of range-cards. They put us down for two shooters, she ended up shooting thanks to our son. They shot the 10/22 & pf9. He did not like the pf9 she did 5 & I'm done. No p3at then. I should've let her try the Kimber target II. I brought an M44 to make some noise At check out, I asked "You got us down for 3?" No just 2, Merry Christmas. I forgot camera, crappy cell pix...

Smile The Great Bunny Massacre

Took my son & his cousins out for a fun day of shooting/ instruction. His cousins (Johnny & Joshy) had never handled firearms before. My son has some experience through our Run'N'Guns. We had lotsa fun blasting STUFFED bunnies at the end.

"Sight picture/ sight alignment" with the Ruger 22/45.

Nice form!

Workin the 10/22.

Group pic.

Another photo from one of our Run'N'Guns. Chasing my son through the course with the video camera. Lotsa exercise for the cameraman!

I been doing more and more positional shooting in preparation for the 2014 CMP Rimfire Sporter Rifle matches. I was out practicing with my Kimber M82G and my 5 year old was watching so I figured, what the heck. Here's a quick video of him shooting off a round from the prone position. I can't wait to get him shooting as he is more into shooting than my two other kids.

Click to play video.

Thanks, I thought it would add a bit of coolness to it, & he totally digs it.
Here's two more vids...
We're going to put a sling on the 10/22 for stability, per Appleseed.

I wish I could edit out the 1st few & last seconds on this vid (crappy camera handling. Sorry! I will work on my recording discipline).
He was impressed with the EOTech & said it was cool. He asked a lot of questions about the AR. Afterwards while eating duck tacos
at Sammy's wood fired pizza, he proudly sent a few text's to his mother about shooting an AR. Good times!
Some guy was talking to his girl on shooting. hehehe!

I took my son 3 years ago; he qualified rifleman the first day. One other kid beat him by 1 point. There were guys out with thier AR's all tricked out, and he shot better than them with a plain 10/22 with Tech-Sights iron sights.

I shot the second day with him, with a loaned 10/22. Shot well, but it had jams. son was all excited he had better scores than me.

But, I taught him well. And his 4H expierience really showed. He is an excelent shot.

I would TOTALLY recomend Appleseed, for kids and adults.

Sac Valley runs it monthly...

Going this weekend to Appleseed at Sac Valley with my wife (she is just going to observe). Then in a few weeks is Ladyseed and she and our eldest teen daughter will be shooting (I will just sit back and watch). Then a few weeks later I am shooting with my son at Appleseed. Can't wait :-)

I cannot believe there are no Henry Lever .22's in the mix. That will be my son's first, it just seems like the perfect little boy rifle...and I want one too
