Hah - it is a Springfield 1911 - that is the BFA - that is not set deep enough in the barrel.
FWIW:
The "shoulder mount" use of the MG42 was SOP, it's in the manual - and doesn't do nearly as much damage to your ears as you would think. It's a pretty unique and effective booster cone on that system.
All this talk of the 1919 has got me pining for one again - that's the trouble with these forums, just minding my own business, and now I need to spend a few grand, lol.
