Out of the box with stock recoil spring the G17 will be faster in cycling than the G34. Short range rapid fire like in most USPSA club matches the stock G17 will do. With decreased power recoil spring tuned to a given load changes things the G34 will have a slight edge and it’s much softer shooting.

My cousin is going to get a G34 if he can't find a 17RTF... anyone know who is selling the 17RTF right now?

I have 6 G17 sized Glocks - same exact frame, except for the RTF texture on three of them and one is a gen4 MOS. I expect when I shoot a G34 I'll like it fine. It can't be that much different than a 17 or 22. A 17L isn't. As far as CZ's... it is not really fair comparing to a CZ TS... I have a SP-01 a PCR and a CZ 40B... and 2x Jericho 941's, RIA Tanfo. Glocks compare just fine to CZ. There are many people who have shot everything and prefer Glock. Just a fact.

I have had 3 g34's all hit sub 2.5" at 25 with wwb ammo, a o.d. green pistol would put round after round on a 2" plate at 25 yards. Practice is the only thing that will help you with any handgun.

I am getting conflicting technique here.

Not to say that I am challenging your statement since I am in no position to tell anyone what is the correct or incorrect way to shoot a Glock.

I am guessing for speed shooting, your technique maybe the only way

*** tbc *** this technique can be applied to all triggers (1911 is a little unique for its limited range of motion) just with a different finesse. Apply it directly for bullseye shooting to combat sway and blood pressure influences.

The goal is to hold the pistol with more radial and axial pressure (best words i can come up with while not showing you) then what is applied to the trigger (insert trigger type). So if properly done there is less time spent in the no mans land of the trigger motion (sear movement ect) that pulls even the best shooters off target.

Yes it is a very very advanced method but if people were as deep down this rabbit as i am what i am saying is perfectly clear and understandable. I hope this helps all that read this. Good shooting folks...

^^^ I believe I understood what you’ve stated. It scientifically makes sense, just very hard for me to execute especially I am so deep into the trigger prep method. I will try this in the future.

Thank you for replying.

I agree.....so I put my G34 bedside.

I shoot my G34 as well as a Cajun SP-01, 75b, PPQ , VP9, etc....it’s my easiest gun to shoot well, outside of a Shadow 2.

I sand down my trigger safety.

My knucklesget banged up also.

I am guessing your sights are not off. Might be the way you hold the gun or the way you pull the trigger. Have so done else shoot it.

All that means is the price/performance point is good enough for a lot of people. Honda Accord is the most popular car in the States, but I wouldn't want to get caught dead in it. (https://insurify.com/insights/most-p...92578125000000)

Most agencies buy Glocks because of the huge discounts, and then a lot of people buy Glocks because the agencies buy them. And did I mention cheap?

I don't know. They seem to be VERY reliable. And reasonably priced. I don't know anyone who wouldn't be caught dead in a Honda Accord and that includes some rich people too! It's a very nice car.

Glocks are reliable, low-maintenance, easy maintenance, accurate, the performance leader copied by EVERYONE. I think they are more like a Ferrari. I love my Glocks and my Glock knock-offs.

You can't compare any factory Glock trigger to a factory CZ TS trigger.

That's like comparing tofu to bacon.

There ya go. That works a little better than cars.

Maybe a convert. I do like to make fun of the whole cars as guns thing. I like all decent hand guns... I do have few makes I steer clear of.

Most of my shooting life, I hated Glocks. Started on Ruger and CZ.
