Thats interesting, is that a 7.5" barrel? My 10.5 spits them pretty well with the current brake, but with the A1 FH before it wasnt noticeable. I would think the piggy on your barrel would live up to its name

Yeah, 7.5" barrel from the gunsmoke 2nd gen pistol kit. I thought about taking the KX3 off and seeing if it made a difference but didn't want to mess with it at the range.

I've heard that optics can break at inopportune times, so I figured I needed some redundancy

Kind off topic. Thinking on getting an AR pistol. I do have a question though. Are AR pistol required to have a tool release the magazine?

Get the HTTP location of the picture. Add "" after the location url (minus the quotation marks).

You mean maglock, requiring a tool to drop the magazine? Yes they need one if in CA

I would think since it is a "Pistol" that it wouldn't but oh well. I was just wondering but not surprised.

30515. (a) Notwithstanding Section 30510, "assault weapon" also
means any of the following:
(4) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a
detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location
outside of the pistol grip.

with a maglock, it doesn't have a ca-defined detachable magazine, so it is legal.

without a maglock, it does have a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip, along with other evil features, and would be an illegal AW.

A little progress on my pistol. I found the K2 grip at my LGS and picked up the aluminum enhanced trigger guard. Got the FCG installed for the final time with the oversized match pins that came with the lower.

It's pretty decent. I can certainly tell the difference in grip angle between it and the A2 grip. The texture almost reminds me of a Gen4 Glock.
That's about all I can say about it since I haven't really used it much.
I think I'll like it, though.

I use a Head tennis racket case, and a piece of foam folded in half that I got from the craft store. It works perfect, is incognito, and range masters always get a good chuckle. They love it!

As a bonus, I take the foam out and use the back side of it as a cleaning mat.
