Here is some of the work I did while I was cooking park in those pics of FEDUP's Fresno build party. These are refinished IMBEL on IMBELs with no mag, because I am out of 10-rounders, & DrickelCo bullet buttons. Combo devices not parked because these are my shooters and I'm going featureless (and I was too lazy to degrease them). Right now they have STG-like park and I don't like it, so as soon as I set up for Duracoat I'm going to paint them black, IMBEL factory style paint over park .

Gratuitous FALmily shot:

Top to bottom:

Frankenpara on DSA Type 2 - mocked up for now, need the barrel cut down - Belgian STG barrel, IMBEL Type 2 lower, DSA Type 2 upper
Original finish STG on DSA Type 1
Refinished G1 on DSA Type 1
IMBEL on IMBEL
IMBEL on IMBEL

Edit - Hmmm, looks like I need to bend that G1 carry handle

Drickel that park looks good (homebrew matches that DSA dead on dont it) but that plastic looks like SHIOT. We will have to find some sort of oven for next time, too many parked rifles are getting boring. Im thinking CIA tiger stripe.

DOH!, I was thinking M14 as far as auto or semi auto goes.....don't drink and type!. It has some trick internals that are TRW and is the 1996 equiv of a modern loaded(match trigger, med match barrel etc.). When I was setting up the scope last friday, it was hitting at 600 yards most every time with mil-surp ammo!, I love this rifle. I am in process of getting a USGI fiberglass stock to complete my little repo M21, I just have to figure how I am going to paint it.

Ain't she a beauty?

Thanks a million to FEDUP for his guidance in this build; with out him this would not have been possible. I think she looks great and so far seems like she'll function great too. mag fit is VERY tight due to an early mistake I made fitting the front trunion. It's pushed into the receiver ever so slightly but it’s just enough to make fitting a mag tough, I will most likely file down my mags to fit a little easier. Oddly enough during test fitting eve after we noticed the issue that Bulgarian polymer mag fit perfect.

I haven't test fired her yet but she seems to feed and extract manually pretty well. In my test though I had 2 rounds of WWB jam while feeding and bent the round ever so slightly to make it unusable. Every once in a while the bolt will hold open upon return and I think that caused a bad feed, but I don’t think it will be an issue with live fire.

I can't wait to shoot it.

Wood is all original that has been stripped and refinished black. There ended up being a little more red in the wood than what I envisioned but it turned out very nice imo.

I plan on getting a wood monster man asap for it and finishing it the same. Click the pictures to see a bigger view.

Default My very first SKS

I just picked it up today, my first SKS, it's a yugo. Field stripped and clean the hell out of it. I almost used up a can of WD40.
I can hardly wait to take it to LAR&G
Bought it at the SJ TS gun show from Marty, thanks man! Thanks to Roger as well for the transfer.

Nah. My small mits like the SAW grip a lot more. I have them on both my FAL's.

Still with pinned 10/20 mags. Eagerly waiting a FAL MMG.

Took all 3 out a few days ago for a test run. All are Romy home builds on Tapco flats. Not as much as a hiccup The farthest one back in the pic has a homemade handgrip made from the original p.grip from the handgaurd. The closest is mine. The other two belong to my buddy .....the little pistol there was fun too
