Which one is a subjective question. I have one but never use it. Dont like them much and there are other options

I went with the 4 inch because I am 'short waisted'...OK I am short.

I have S&W Shield and an XDS 45. Would these work with the band?

I don't have either of those guns.
I am carrying a Glock 19 in mine.
The holster pockets come in two sizes, small and large. The restraining strap is sewn in for secure carry. Choose gun size small for all SMALL single stack semi-autos like Ruger LCP, Kel-tec PF9 and all 1911 frames.

Choose gun size LARGE for all double stack semi-autos like Glocks, XDs, S&W M&P and all J-Frame and larger revolvers.

My wife uses the crossbreed modular belly band system with a Shield. We like it because it is a hard-shell holster.

The SmartCarry is pretty comfortable. Pretty comfortable especially wearing dress clothes or even a t shirt and shorts.

A good sticky holster or Remora and you don't need a belly band

I like this design. I am not fond of holsters that have no solid surface to shield the trigger. That has been one of my issues when I see belly band holsters. I have a Crossbreed mini-tuck and have been really happy with it.
