Default In the Past 24 Hours, I Carried in 9 Separate Counties...

...a personal record for me. Not a single person was maimed or killed during my journey.

But, you know, East Bay residents shouldn't be trusted with firearms because the powers that be say so.

Not really. My wife is a fan of an Irish rock band. I drove her there and back. We had a good time.

Would close proximity to an Irish band be considered a place established for the sole purpose of serving alcohol?

I did that a year ago when I went to a meeting in SF.
Went up via 15-138-5, came home via 101-170-134-210

Friday: San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Kern, Kings, Fresno, Merced, Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Alameda, and SF.... 10

Sunday trip home: SF, San Mateo, Santa Clara, San Benito, Monterey, SLO, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, and back to Berdoo... 10, for a total of 17 different counties in 72 hours.

I MAY have tipped into Santa Cruz looking for a place to have breakfast but I'm not sure... if so then I may have missed San Benito, so the numbers didn't change.

Well done!

Shasta, Tehama, Glenn, Colusa, Yolo, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda and Santa Clara on my end.

It felt strange when I was carrying in the lobby of the Santa Clara Hyatt Regency this morning.

Why would you be jealous? You're in Texas for crying out loud! CCW is legal in the maternity ward there, yes?

Hahaha. I believe there should be 30.06 and 30.07 signs in hospitals. Haven't checked yet though.

CA is still my home. It's my dream to be able to walk up and down Santa Monica Pier with my family and my pocket carry.

It's like angels will come out and start singing....

What's stopping you? Is it considered a government building?

I think I might just have done a similar Boonies => Santa Clara trip for the very same event. It sure was a good time Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Yolo, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara. Only 8. Not sure it really counts as carrying when you don't even get out of the car, though.

This is a good point.

I did not get out of my vehicle in Yolo or Alameda county.

I drove through 10 counties on my way out of California and only had to draw and take aim once. Hard to believe that was almost a year ago. Hardly ever think about that night, but when I do, I still get chills.

How often do you get searched while walking on the Santa Monica Pier? And what happens to a dream deferred?

Wouldn't matter.
Unless it is listed as one of the specific prohibited locations in the PC or is a Federal building occupied by Federal employees, the CCW provides an exemption to the prohibition on carry in "public" buildings and meetings.

Even municipal, county, and state courthouses are not LEGALLY off-limits as long as you are not a party to the action, but you aren't going to get past the metal detector.

I think he means he's a TX resident and therefore can not get a CA LTC to legally carry on the SM Pier....

Sad part is that in most other states, people wouldn't believe this is even topic-worthy. Yet, it is here in CA.

Lies....

Surely someone had to pay the toll of death because your gun was near. That or everything I've ever read is lies.

Right?

Look out San Francisco, San Joaquin and Sacramento counties! My journey of destruction, death and mayhem is scheduled for early June.

I find it to be incredibly satisfying to prove the anti-freedom tyrants wrong. Granted, nobody cares because this is purely anecdotal. That's OK....I'll take it.
