Saw your email copy in the other thread. I'm going there Tuesday for a change on my permit and I'll ask in person and report back

The email was sent out to all approved instructors so, there's really no need to ask but, go right ahead and ask if you want to.

Because no body ever trusts a person on the Interwebzlol that they don't know. I know CSA, so I trust what he's saying. That's just me.

No, before this VCSD only allowed C&R and on roster guns to be listed on their permit.

Interesting, what pistols had the calibers changed for SSE? All mine have the correct caliber on the dros

Many, especially smaller calibers like 380 and guns that were not as popular as Glock or 1911. Because the barrel had to be 10+ inches, the easiest way to do that was a sub-caliber insert. They would fit almost any gun. Otherwise you had to have an actual complete barrel assembly made for the particular gun.

But multiple calibers can be listed on the DROS IIRC, so some gun shops had the foresight to list more than one caliber.

I've said it before - but a 'no off roster' policy is just dumb. So many guns fall off the roster, and so many others were obtained before the roster. It is a policy that would produce all manner of comical (read: asinine) results, and eventually be unworkable. Glad to hear that VC got smart.

That's pretty cool. They were so concerned about it my last two interviews, wonder why that policy changed? I don't have any SSE/Off Roster pistols other than C&Rs but for you guys who do, this is a great day.
