Default LAX Range Shoot - 11/13/13

Hello Everyone! It's time to warm things up with our monthly W. LA / South Bay LAX Range Shoot!

It's that time again, time for the monthly W. LA shoot @ LAX Range!
Raffle tickets, check!
Date/Time confirmed, check!
I'll have the Beowulf .50 AR as well as a pair of AR pistols and a Ruger LC9 this month!
I'll see you guys on the range!

- HappyCamper781/Jeremy

****

Join us at LAX Firing Range (not the airport) in Inglewood (927 West Manchester Blvd, Inglewood) on 11/13/2013 @ 7:00 PM. We're excited to team up with LAX, and they in turn have extended a discount of 10% off any in store factory ammunition not already discounted to all Calgunners.

Parking is limited, but don't fret parking is allowed at the car wash next door after hours, and there are always the lovely "safe" streets of Inglewood.

The Raffle:
Don't forget to get yourself a raffle ticket for our Glock Raffle! The drawing will be held at the last shoot of the year held at the Firing Line in Burbank. NO make-up tickets will be given, so ask me for one when you see me!
(Except for the guys on the August sign up sheet, who get a make-up for my forgetting the ticket roll!)

Please review the following details pertaining to the meet:

Pistols - The occasional double tap is acceptable (but if it's get's out of line the privilege will be taken away), no holstered pistols, no drawing from a holster, no open carry (all standard indoor range safety rules apply)
Rifles - High Powered Rifles up to a .30-06 are permitted with the use of range ammunition..
Shotguns - Shotguns are also permitted, again, only with the use of range ammunition.
Cost - $10.00, stay and shoot as long as you want!
*CalGunners get membership prices on factory ammo and rentals.
** LAX members are free to attend.
*** If you've never been to LAX you'll need to purchase a shooting card for $2. This is a one time fee for new (to the range shooters).

REMINDER: - When you're there, your actions represent the entire Calguns community. We should always take responsibility for our actions, and treat their facility with the utmost respect. Remember to unpack your firearms in the booth if at all possible! (Additional note, we've gotten a few internal Calguns comments regarding range etiquette, remember, this is a firing range, muzzle sweeping, and inadvertent violations of range rules are very very no bueno).

They'll be reserving several lanes for us on their main range, but we will have to share the range with other walk on shooters. If there are others present, I urge you to engage them in conversations about Calguns, and why you choose to attend these types of events. They have a huge "pro shop" with tons of items available for purchase as well as a couch and multiple TVs.

So, who's in? You know there is nothing better that you'd rather do on a Wednesday night than shoot some guns with fellow CalGunners!

P.S. If you're interested in volunteering your time and helping coordinate this shoot, or one like it in your area, contact myself or RoundEye for details.

Shoot Roster:
1) Happycamper781

Default nothing wrong with the timing

Its not like bleeding heart liberal anti gunners go to this anyway, its shooters that go to the range and understand...hell there might be more that show up after today's incident

Woah... Whats with this commotion? We do this every month. I know there is a shooting AT the Airport but this range is in Inglewood.
I still don't understand the "bad timing" comments

They allow up to 50bmg. They might question if its bimetal or steel core

Don't know the price for their ammo at LAX but, PSA has non-magnetic for $12.99 a box I think. Best price for mosin ammo I ever see. For what it's worth LAX staff made a comment a few shoots ago about bi-metal being a no go.

Just sell your kidneys. I sold two of mine and I'm doing pretty well so far with just one. There's a reason you are born with three.

My new AR build should be done by then, and I may have a cool surprise device on the gun as well by the shoot, but this will have to be a surprise for those of you who are going to the shoot next Wednesday!

That was awhile ago, they don't have that sign anymore. But if I shoot steel cased, try to pick up the casings anyways out of courtesy.

Well the guns I want to get the most practice with are my rimfires. So .22LR. I see ammo on Craigslist sometimes but its around $60 a brick. One brick is one day of shooting, and I know they sell it at the store for around $35 but I dont have the time to go in the morning and buy it. Right now we are saving up for Christmas and a more decent car so I dont really have any extra cash to shoot right now. Just been waiting on my income tax returns to stock up on ammo agian I guess. Kind of embarassing.

Keep an eye on the Deals and sales section in the marketplace. Late at night or early morning people sometimes post deals on .22lr. Cabela's usually. Know it won't help for this shoot but just putting it out there in case it helps.

Come to the shoot. I'll sell you a box of Federal Champion 525 for $30.

Oh, and Jeremy, I'm in.
