@ jthai Thanks

@ OHOD Nice. Thanks for the comment. Rifle is missing the original sling and dust cover however everything else is there including Chrome barrel and Bolt Face, Original Anti Aircraft Sights, Monopod, chrysanthemum all parts matching. I have been looking for a Nagoya Army Arsenal 0 series Type 99 Arisaka for some time now and finally found one.

This rifle had a quick disconnect sling on it for a very long time evident by the wear you can see around the rear sling swivel.

SVT, did you put something on your SKS stocks to make them do that, or is it just that those particular rifles are that badass?

They are, as you said simply "badass".....Just Ivan's best!!! I've had them for years.... Bought them from the importer. They were the pick of the litter!!!

The mottling is the natural color of the hardwood showing through the iodine colored shellac.

A couple of laminated Soviet SKS's. Beauties in their own right... They are also as issued....

I'm sure some of the Bubba jack-offs around here could tell you how to refinish those Soviet SKS stocks real nice!

Mossberg trainer-Yes.
No before pics. I refinished it. Whatever was on there was some tough crap. Removal of the old finish included a belt sander & Easy-Off oven cleaner. Existing finish is 3 coats of Deft Polyurethane semi gloss.
It is a tack driver too.

Default 九九式短小銃 ・初期型

Here is a piece of my wood... Very difficult to find this rifle in this near flawless condition. First production series. All matching numbers. Built in strong resemblance to its German cousins, just like almost every bolt-action rifle in WW2. The challenge of course, is to find some damn ammo for it.

Just picked this up. Probably will refinish the wood because it has some nice figure hiding in there... ;-)

If that is an original USGI stock I wouldn't touch it! It's very clean!. You would be better off selling it and and buying a walnut CMP stock to refinish. You might even come out ahead.
