Default Bay Area Optometrists?

Anyone have a recommendation for a firearms-friendly optometrist in the bay area? Looking to get prescription shooting glasses tuned specifically for me, and I suspect a doctor who's familiar with the requirements would be beneficial.

Dr. Amy Chi-Fernandez is my go-to. She's located in Campbell, easy for south bay people. The only issue is she is currently on maternity leave. My family and I need to schedule our appointments and found out from their office manager.

Dr. Zheng is a USPSA shooter in Richmond. Practice is in Lafayette.
So he has first hand understanding of a shooter's needs. Super nice guy too, and probably does EVERYONE'S corrective glasses in Richmond range LOL.

Which part of the bay area, my optometrist at westlake optometry in Daly City was great when I explained that I compete. They carry a number of sport glasses like Rudy and Oakley. I ended up getting a pair of Oakleys that I now use as regular and shooting glasses.

I'll give Dr. Zheng a try. Since I'm getting into USPSA, seems perfect to get it from a fellow competitor. Thanks for all the advice!

Haven't gone to Frank for eye care but i do know him personally and he's a great person. He will also go the extra mile by having you bring in your upper with dot or glass to adjust your script specifically for rifles too.

Dr. Carrie Lee at Eyedenity Vision on Diamond St. in the Glen Park district of SF off of I-280 is my optometrist. Has been for over 10 years. She also has an office in SSF in the Gateway complex if that is more convenient for you. I believe that she is in SSF on M/W/Th and is in SF on Tu/F/Sat. Call to confirm.

She has fitted me for special contacts/lenses that I use in shooting; a topic that she has no problem discussing. I believe that she has some past experience shooting in ROTC. I even brought a red dot into the office w/me on one occasion so that she could prescribe a lens to eliminate the burriness I experienced when using red dots because of my astigmatism.

SF Office: 2786 Diamond St, San Francisco, CA 94131 (415) 334-2020
SSF Office: 601 Gateway Blvd, Suite 220, SSF. CA 94080 (650) 871.9200
