Default **NEW Nightforce 3.5-15x 50mm FFP Quick Review

NEW Nightforce 3.5-15x 50mm FFP Quick Review:
Thanks to Mike Miller I was able to see the NEW Nightforce 3.5-150x 50mm FFP and the Premier Reticles Heritage 3-15x50mm Tactical FFP scopes. Here were are going to be talking abut the Nightforce FFP.

New Nightforce 3.5-15x50mm FFP:

The New Nightforce 3.5-15x50mm FFP has the same look and feel as the SFP Nightforce we all love. There is a big difference other than the New Nightforce being FFP and that is itís made in the USA. You can see in this photo the Made in USA sticker in the front.

All of the Nightforce FFP scope will come w/ 0-Stop. You can have the Zero stop in 1/4moa (10moa per rev.), 1moa with wind 1/2moa (40moa per rev), or 1/10mil (5mils per rev). The turrets are very positive and easy to tell were you are on the turn.

Here is a photo of the Nightforce FFP Mil-Dot:

At this time Nightforce is offering Mil-Dot and MLR reticles. The Glass is very nice, the reticle like a lot of FFP scopes feels a little thick, but over all is very nice.

Things I would like to see done down the road:
∑ I would like to see a 20moa turret and a 10mil turret.
∑ 5.5-22x50mm
∑ And the reticle numbered

Here it is in action.

The Nightforce 3.5-15x50mm FFP *M.A.P. (Minimum Advertised Price) $2290.00.

Over all I feel this scope is going to offer a lot for the price.

Hi Adam,
The Premier is $2799
The NF FFP is $2290
This is $509
Plus the NF gives you a free set of UL rings $160 value so now you are at
$669.

I really like the Premier also and they will be in stock tomorrow.

I have been playing with the Nightforce FFP 3.5-15x50mm w/ the MLR and the MIL-DOT. I really like the MIL DOT in the NF NXS FFP scope. The MLR 1/2mil lines are almost too small, but it is nice to have a 1/2mil reference point. What very mil Reticle you get you will love this scope.

rly? i i feel i have moa calculations down pretty well.

i'm wondering though...

while i was running yesterday i was doing mil calculations. i was wondering is the reason the international community use mils because it's super easy with meters?

at 1000 meters a mil is 1 meter?

at 100 meters a mil is one decimeter and a 1/10 mil click is 1 centimeter?

is that right or do i have something wrong?

You are Correct.

Just look mil as an adjustment to get to the target. When you see the impact you can look at the impact and say I need to add or take off x/10 of a mil. When it comes to ranging you look at object in size of centimeter, decimeters, and Meters. With MOA you need to use the 1.047” to be accurate after 700 + yds were the Mil is again just 10s.

Regarding the milrad turrets, are the clicks consistent across the board or do they have a harder click at the the full mil marks (like on the Premier)?

They're consistent, all the same. I've been using one for about year now. Hasn't been an issue.

They do not have a MTC like on the Premier, S&B, or the USO SSDS. The turrets are very positive and are very precise.

Nightforce are one of the most dependable scopes on the market, it a scope that I highly recommend.
