Cool Fabrique Nationale Picture Thread

Ok my fellow CalGunners let's see your Belgian beauties. I'll start with one of my FN-49's. It's a Luxembourg contract .30-06. She's a sweet shooter as well as a good looker.

Jumping right ahead to FN's newest...

PS90 (5.6x28mm) with a BB and a 2" extender on the butt and a fake can extended out 2" forward (to achieve 30" OAL). It also has an EoTech and a modified check-rest (from a JAE-100 stock)

Next to it is a Five-seveN USG (also 5.6x28MM)
Nancy-&-Pelosi.sm.w.jpg

FS2000 (5.56/.223) with a BB and an extra inch of pad on the back to achieve the 30" OAL and a Leupold CQ/T Mark IV Scope
FN-FS2000.butt.w.jpg

Both of them are a blast to shoot and are very comfortable to hold and a breeze to break down for cleaning.

Ever since posting the pics of the PS90 and FS2K and looking at the pics above I've been wondering how hard it would be to make a wood stock for either of the newer guns?

I love wood (on guns!) and you don't get to see much of it any more. Might be a fun project to look into!?!! It would be easy enough to mock up some pics on photoshop to see what it could look like (to see if it would even be worth the trouble)

I still need to take some good pictures of this gun, but here are some small pics the manufacturer sent me just before he shipped it and one pic I took of the barrel markings. This is my FN32, 8mm aircraft gun. It was made for the Republic of Portugal in 1938 for fixed mounting in a biplane fusilage. The manufacturer who put it back together for me fabricated the flexible grips from the existing fixed back plate. The original parts kit that the gun was built from was still unfired after seventy years. It is one of seven guns made and part of my four gun set that I am putting together on the FN series.

All I can say is WOW. You are one lucky guy. Do you plan on ever firing this or is it just going to be a trophy? If so I have some non-corrosive 8mm ammo to donate to the cause. Again WOW.

I have to shoot it at least a few times. After all what good would it be if you never shoot it. It took a long five years to get it completed. I was thinking about taking it out to the Lytle Creek shoot this weekend with the FN30, it's ground version companion in .308. I wish it was full auto, but at 1600 rounds per minute my ammo and barrels would not last too long. Thanks for the offer on the non corrosive 8mm but I have some Olympic 8mm stashed away somewhere in the garage for this bad boy. I will try to get some better pictures of it soon. Now, I just need more time and money to get the last two finished.

If anyone is interested in the FN brownings here is a great website.

Here is a picture of the FN38 aircraft gun with a single spade rear grip.
(unfortunately this is just a posing set of parts until I can get it assembled)

Took the FN32 out to Lytle Creek last weekend to the California Bears Target Shooter event. It went an amazing seventy years before getting fired but it worked perfectly and I am more than happy with it. Woot!!

Not true. Though if you wanted to go featureless, you'd have to fill/block the thumb hole. The poster indicated he took means to get the OAL to 30" and installed a BB.
