Default Winchester 94 pre-64 (1926)

Its for sure a pre-64. In fact it was produced in 1926 according to serial number. This Winchester is a complete rebuild. Not my first. And what a mess this was. Anyway, I've never ran into this bit of a bug. The "rear band and the rear band screw." The screw has a very slight bend, no biggy. But, its not lining up with the threaded side of the rear band. After messing with it for about an hour and a half I finally quit until tomorrow morning. I'm tired. I told the owner I would have it done by Friday, tomorrow. This little matter is really bugging me. Has anyone run across this issue and how did you resolve it. Its probably something so simple.

Sounds like you need to either straighten the screw or replace it.
