I did nothing to it. Its original. I managed to get it because my Father has a distributor in Switzerland for our Swiss Products Rifle accessory business.
There were only 4,000 of them ever made. Everything about the rifles is serial numbered to each other including the rifle, magazine, issue bipod, issue scope and the scope carry case.

We also manufacture the only replacement scope mount in the world that allows the rifle to use any scope you choose.

This is the issue scope.

It locks into an intergral receptacle on the receiver.

This is our replacement mount.

And it allows different , more powerful scopes to be used.

This is the rifle with the issue bipod folded.

With the bipod deployed, and its not an easy bipod to use being extremely multi-directional.

This is the locking lug we make that allows the use of a harris bipod.

zfk55 ownership is an extremely exclusive club. There aren't many of us in the US.

On this one I have an IOR Valdada fixed 10 power mounted.

And sometimes one that looks bubbu'd is a very cool rifle. This is a Swiss 1911sr Long Rifle Golden State Arms conversion to .308. They did many hundreds of these in the 60's. The stocks and finish work is excellent and the accuracy is superb.

Thank you! There are a lot of different rifles in the armoury, but the Swiss rifles and AR10s are pretty much what I do with rifles.
Every Swiss rifle (and all the rest for that matter) have had a hBN ceramic treatment to the bores. Every projectile that goes downrange from any rifle here is hBN impact coated.
Swiss rifle barrels are extremely hard to find and difficlut to change out, so barrel life is a huge deal for us. Getting another zfk55 Sniper barrel is virtually impossible, so that one's probably the most important one to protect.

I have seen few zfk55 pictures as good and clear as yours. Researching the K-31s, I knew they were rare, but only 4K rare- wow! I was under the impression it was a field kit; reading about the Swiss and their methods, I was very wrong! I noticed on the second set of pics the brown caps on the bolt handle/grip; very rare, no, or are those repros? Also, does Swiss Products do the bore treatment? I would like to have it done but the Swiss Products page doesn't show on my Blackberry and the laptop's not with me. I have a feeling a few of my paychecks will be headed towards them.

Whoa! Way cool setup, mj1!
Llamatrnr, I can sure visit with you here at the studio as time permits. We're slammed with projects right now but you could call.

Dad doesn't allow visitors in the shop itself, and he's really nice, like a cranky nice but scowls even when he jokes. He was on the net for years but retired from it all around three or four years ago. Big Lee started the Swiss Rifles website and he and Dad opened the SRDC forums to the public around 12 years ago. He developed it to the point it is now and then appointed a very sharp and knowledgeable gentleman to take his place. "Guisan" is a collector and dealer of all things Swiss military and a more moxie expert than he is doesn't exist. He's in the Netherlands and travels regulary to and from Switzerland on buying trips and shows. He's also one of our two Distributors in Europe. The second is AFA in Switzerland.

DasBoost, the second pics aren't a zfk55. I think maybe you didn't read this part?

"And sometimes one that looks bubbu'd is a very cool rifle. This is a Swiss 1911sr Long Rifle Golden State Arms conversion to .308. They did many hundreds of these in the 60's. The stocks and finish work is excellent and the accuracy is superb."

This is an issue spare parts kit for the zfk55. If you own a zfk55, its sorta mandatory that you have one or find one.

And this is the issue Scope Canister, also matching serial numbered

And as for bore treatment for your C&Rs, if there's enough interest I'll certainly post the entire process. Just let me know.

Latigo: Thanks. I was drooling and so excited, I wasn't really reading... Guisan is a great resource. I've copied and saved some of his posts to Word and keep them for knowledge and maintenance/upkeep. I have yet to join (as most of my questions are answered and I'm the farthest from an expert) but patience and the forums have taught me what I need to know.

As for the bore treatment, I heard there was some treatment applied to the rifles from the factory, is that correct? I'm looking to extend the life of the rifle and keep it in the best shooting condition possible. I have a pile of GP-11 growing but no range time. Any recommendations for a shakedown?

DasBoost, I think you're talking about AutomattenFett. I can post about it if you like, but you also might be talking about the process we do on all Swiss rifles. Hexagonal Boron Nitride?

Ok. Our 1911 D/T has 5 holes, and its set up to work with both of the different Alpine profiles. It comes with the right screws for your rifle.

Love the K31s. That is one epic rifle. I have seen the snipers on GB every once in a while. I am always tempted but the wallet says no. Enjoy that! well done and thanks for sharing

Thanks Latigo!! I was talkign about your Hexagonal Boron Nitride treatment; I knew the barrels were lined with something, AMF as you said above maybe, and I was curious to see if it effeted the rifle's accuracy if said coating wore off.

hBN doesn't affect accuracy one way or the other, but chamber pressures do change if it wears off from shooting bullets that aren't impact coated. As long as the coated bullets are used it doesn't wear off at all.
