It's a SP01 Shadow Target - nothing modified - you buy it like you see

Actually I picked it up this morning

No firing pin block

I'll post some nice pics tomorrow

I've noticed a lack of Taurus love in this gallery. I know they've earned a bad rep. But they're not all lemons. Mine isn't. Here's my PT92 that I picked up from another Calgunner. He did the cerakote, not bad. I can live with it for now.
IMG_9602.jpg

I added the stainless parts and stainless slide and removed the roll marks from the slide. Much cleaner. I haven't decided how "shiny" I want it yet. It's only finished to 220 for now.

My peasant SIG. chambered in 9mm. I love the way guns look on my wood table.

I just picked up this bad boy:

Yes, that's right, a Hi Point.

I had to see how bad a $149 (out the door) gun was. The trigger is terrible, it actually gets HEAVIER as you shoot it -- like, within the same mag. The sights are grotesque. The slide is made out of melted down dirtbike levers, I swear.... and it also weighs like a hundred pounds.

But you know what? It was reliable. And I can hit steel (like a 30" plate) at 100 yards with it nearly every time.

So, its terrible and gross and ugly and heavy and useless -- but it was cheap and it actually shoots! That's more than I can say for some high end 1911's!

I wonder why the other calibers are not on the roster, before the roster I sold a bunch of these never any problems with them and a very good entry level weapon.

Just picked up a new to me Beretta M9 on consignment. Replaced all the springs with a Wolff service package and completed a detail disassembly. That task is not for the faint of heart, I’ll tell you that much!

Ok, tell the truth now ... 1) how many tiny parts do you still have left over after you finished assembling it (they're probably in a small plastic bag in your safe somewhere)? and 2) does it still go bang every time?

LOL luckily I don’t have any spare parts. I did loose a pin from the safety when I initially took it apart. And I’ve shot about four pins and springs which I also luckily managed to recover.

It goes bang every time after the deep clean! And now it’s smooth as butter.

Just going through the safe and pulled out a couple of my favorites. For me it’s hard to beat a classic all metal pistol.

That is an unusual thumb. Bent quite unusually and about 4" long from that first joint.

Cool

Just got my Star Firestar M45 cerakoted. I bought it used in '07 as a truck gun, but the winter snow & SALT especially, have taken their toll over the years (surface rust). Figured some cerakote would keep it going for ANOTHER 20 years, so I went Burnt Bronze, with BLK controls!
