Default Can a California resident purchase two firearms in the same month?

If I started DROS on a firearm 10 days ago, can I purchase another firearm online and have it shipped to an FFL and have them hold onto it for me until I am allowed to start a new DROS? Or would the FFL be required to make the purchase and then sell to me 30 days after my first firearm purchase?

Thank you

Correct, you will need to wait 30 days to start 2nd DROS. FFL can store 2nd firearm, but call to verify he won’t charge storage fee.

Also note, CA FFL will charge sales tax, transfer fee and DROS on 2nd firearm. You will probably be paying for shipping too. Might be a better idea to just buy local and support a FFL here in CA.

The 1 in 30 only applies for handgun currently.

Check with your FFL before doing this.

Too little information for a definitive answer.

For the first purchase & the planned 2nd purchase:
Long gun or handgun?
Was the seller a shop selling from inventory, or selling a consignment, or a private individual?
Do any of those purchases take place in LA county?

first purchase and planned second purchase are both handguns. first purchase is a shop selling from inventory, planned second purchase is from online dealer shipped to local FFL.

thanks

If you DROS on the 1st of the month then DROS the second one on the 31st, yes you can. (the time of transaction matters too)
