Default Looking for small flashlight

I'm starting look around for a small edc flashlight. I don't need anything too fancy, but here is what I'm looking for:
1. Thin and compact - hopefully 1"x4" or smaller
2. Only need one function on a tail button
3. Don't need a blinding light - I would probably be fine under 100 lumens.
4 Hoping for something durable, but under $50. I don't what something that cheap quality to keep the price low. I'd rather pay a little bit more than keep on paying.

Fenix PD25? Just get it on the light level you want and don't futz with the side button.

Fenix E12. Uses a single AA battery. Tail switch. Less than $30.

Thorfire TG06

Or

Lumintop Tool AA Flashlight Magnetic Tail

For around $20 these are great. Don’t break the bank and produce plenty of light of an AA. I’ve had the TG06 for I think 3 years now. It’s been through some tough times, no complaints.

Another vote for the Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA.
I had one for a couple of years and it worked great with the AAA battery,
but all of a sudden, it wouldn't work with the CR123.

Sent it to Streamlight and had a brand new unit in about a week.
Great light...great customer service.

After losing several expensive ones I now carry the single AAA stream light. For work I carry a Lite For Life. No batteries, over an hour of run time, and recharges from dead to full in 90 seconds. A pity they're no longer made.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Right now I am trying to narrow down between the Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA and one of the Fenix E series (probably either the e12 or e15).

Another vote for the Streamlight Pro Tac 2L. Used for EDC for over 6 years, still going strong, great light and front pocket friendly for Lee jeans.

Ended up picking up an protac 1l-aa during the latest eBay sale and one of the 5.11 pen lights on clearance. Pretty happy with both of them.

Look into anything streamlight. Great lights and if you look- most are under $50. I have the protac 2L (2 cr123 batteries) and they also have the protac 1L.

I started carrying this a couple years ago: https://lapolicegear.com/lapg-operat...laslhight.html

It’s small but not too small. Plenty bright. And needs a new battery every 3-4 weeks, which isn’t too bad. I think they run $30-something.

They have some really powerful lights that go onto your key ring they are so small. They work great. I had one for years. I never had to change the battery. It was diamond shaped and tough as nails. Never failed me. I just got tired of carrying it around.

Look at gearbest

It looked like this:

Default Olight S1R Baton

I have had two versions of the S1 (both still functional.) Bright, small, rechargeable, although they make AA and AAA versions to as I recall. Great little pocket light.

Terralux 300.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s?k=terralux+300

Shop around, you can find them under 30 dollars. Come in different colors. 300 well distributed lumens. Also also 100 lumens with a light push on the back button. I have maybe 15 or more. Hanging on doorknobs, in drawers, in nightstands, hanging on safe, in vehicles, etc. super reliable and with two AA’s, they last longer than single AA lights. You won’t be disappointed. Buy one. You’ll then buy more.

I've worked as a Construction Inspector at night on the freeway, and found my favorite flashlights are the ones that take C123. The main reason is because the batteries last a long time. I've heard many of the C123 flashlights will take AA's in a pinch. Stay away from the really small flashlights that take AAA's because the batteries just don't last long enough, unless your willing to chance dead batteries for picket carry.

Fry's Electronics has a great selection.

i like my fenix E25. I have the older version. It's been to Asia with me numerouse times where rolling blackouts are common. It's long enough i can use it as a small self defense tool and bright enough to navigate my way in dark alleyways.
I especially like that i can use AA's easy to find anywhere.

I usually use a modded e2d to run a p60 led with 2xcr123 or a single 17670 or 16650 cell. But whenever i travel i take the fenix. If i lose it it's easy enough to replace. Did i mention it runs on a single AA.
