Default Selling rifle out of town???

I live in Southern California and I am going to sell a rifle to a guy in Northern California. What do I need to do??? I think I need a copy of there FFL and a copy of the buyers drivers license and then I can send it to there FFL.

Get the name of his FFL, call them and get their FFL number and check it here:

https://www.atfonline.gov/fflezcheck/fflSearch.do

While on the phone ask them if they will accept a shipment from an individual (you). If not you will have to find a FFL near you to ship it.

You only need a copy of the dealers ffl recieving the weapon for ups.
You don't need anything from the buyer as far as his info. The recieving dealer will handle the buyers requirements.

Since you are not a FFL, most FFLs are not going to send you a copy of their license. You'll need to contact the receiving FFL and do whatever they ask you to.
