Default Here is a relatively uncommon M44:

Romanian 1953 M44, all matching numbers. Very nice condition inside and out, with a nice shiny bore:

I know it is outdated, but still cool that it rates an "8" on the Mosin rarity scale.

Supposedly less common than the all matching mint Polish next to it in the safe, which rates a "6"

That one is probably rarer than you think.

1953 was the first production year, with ~2000 made.

IIRC, CP was the first block, so you have the 536th Romanian M44 made.

It would be hard to upgrade on that one at all.

That's a beautiful rifle and nicely photograph.
But to but honest Bobby I thought you'd be older.
Although the shaved head does show your commitment to military history and C&R rifles in general.

the photograph looks like you're learning to use a bore snake for the first time....
I can't even remember being that young.
;-)

is that safety blaze hunter orange or
were you in a state supervise "caring neighbors" program to clean up highways?
