I'm liking this one ::

Alien Gear Cloak Slide OWB Holster (Outside the Waistband)

Then for winter / Cooler months I have a Glaco leather shoulder rig

I conceal carry a full size Beretta 92fs double stack with a 5 inch barrel. When I carry it in a Desantis scabbard otw holster with a shirt over it, it disappears.It hugs my body and don't even know its there. I have a drawer full of holsters for multiple firearms ranging form a Shield to a full size 92. By far my favorite is the Desantis. Wish I'da saved money and bought Desantis for all my concealed carry.
I'm 5 foot 7 and 185.

1911ís deserve Milt Sparks. Nothing like fine leather and 1911.

I carry a 1911 in both officer and CCO configurations (9 and 45). I use a Raven Concealment (with different straps) for OWB and IWB. I now mainly carry appendix with G Code Phenom Speed. 10 round spare mag on my left hip.

If you want to try the Milt Sparks without the wait or price, the DeSantis Mad Max is a good, well made Versamax clone. It comes with leather belt loops and also Kydex loops for tuckable use.

$50 - $60 on Amazon

Milt Sparks if you can wait.
TTGunLeather if you don't want to wait.

While I had previously carried with a Milt Sparks Summer IWB holster, I found the leather and attachments on the holster a bit thick and more difficult to conceal. But maybe that was just me.

The Summer Special or any similar design does not conceal as well IMO. Placing the belt loops so close together can't draw / wrap the holster around the body. Also I find they like to rotate and you can never depend on the grip being where you expect it for a draw. And as you noted, everything sort of stacks up into a thick package.

On the other hand, the Versamax style holsters have widely spaced belt loops ahead and behind the holster. It helps to draw the holster tight against the body, keeps it from rotating, and keeps it from being a big lump of holster and loops concentrated in a single spot.

The MacDaniel II from Andrews Custom has the belt loops more toward the trigger guard. I've learned that having the belt loops not on top of the frame/slide like on a Summer Special, helps minimize the bulk.
