Default Thinking of selling my Sig Sauer 556R 7.62 x 39

I'm thinking of selling my Sig Sauer 556R 7.62 x 39. I've searched past FS listings but theres nothing recent and they seem to be going for $1,400 -$2,000 on GB. I was thinking $1,400. Is that a fair price. I don't think I would go less than that but I want to make sure I'm not leaving too much on the table. It's Gen 2 so very reliable. Thoughts anyone...

Sig doesn't make the 556 anymore. Unless you need the money I'd suggest hanging onto it. It "may" be a collector's item at some point in the future.

It is a discontinued rifle. Take that into consideration. Looked real hard at buying a dig rifle last year and this was what swayed me. Lack of parts as I have been burned by Sig before because if it isnít currently in production they do not do much to support you later on.

Wish I would have bought one a few years back before the ban.

I wouldn't sell mine. Like it so much, I also bought the Sig 556xiR pistol, which turned out to be a lemon.

Ive almost bought them coz I think they are one of the coolest AK variants. The reliability issues reported by owners have always stopped me.

I love the gun. Mine has been 100% reliable. The interesting thing you notice when you shoot it is it feels like a softer shooting AK almost as if it were a HK delayed blowback system if that makes sense. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna sell it. What do you guys think about the price range?

Depends on the shape it's in. Featureless or converted (some will consider DIY conversions a deal breaker).

Personally, I've been on a lookout to get one (I'm in SD). Another gentleman is looking for one on the WTB list.
So, potential buyers are out there, and there is some room to negotiate.

Appreciate all the input. I ordered the Kydex grip wrap so it will be featureless. I plan on listing it when I get the wrap.
