What's a good going rate for a Glock 17 gen 2 or 3?

if your talking used. 400-500 depending on condition, sights, and how many mags.

Shop around; you can get brand new for $480 but it may not be worth your time and effort to save $20. Used, IDK, seems some people want more than a new gun costs - especially if it's stippled.

You can pick up a brand new Gen3 G17 for $499 all day every day, so I wouldn't spend more than $300 on a used one.

As mentioned, about $500 brand new. Price for a used depends on condition, and if it's been customized. I paid $499 + tax and DROS for mine.

$800 if there are only "200 rounds down the pipe," which includes most of the guns put up for sale in the Calguns Marketplace.

Used glock...I'd pay no more than $375 for a stock gen 3. With upgraded sights, $425ish. Aftermarket trigger, extra mags, holsters, custom slide, grip stipple would add to the cost on top. Gen 2 might fetch a little higher price I suppose since they are not readily available, but much less than a gen 4 or 5 for sure.

But it's custom. It's got a Punisher back plate, magwell and stippling.

My ODG 17 cost over $600 probably because it came with night sights and the harder to find ODG infused color. Picking up it's little brother, ODG 19 in a week.

Now that I remember it was from this particular LGS that prices hard to find models higher. After I place a deposit Turner's had it in their weekly ad a few times for less, but before then they were hard to find. This is the 2nd batch of ODG from the 1st batch that was released a year before. The Glock 19 I got for regular price at another LGS.

As said.. $300 to $350 for a Gen 3

Gen 2 would be more and a Gen 1 way more.. lol

G17 gen 3 have been coming up often on the Turner's online used/consignment rack between $400 - $450 complete and in good condition. I haven't noticed much of a difference in their listing price for the gen 2. The ones at the lower end of the range still go pretty quick. You have to pay sales tax though. Try PPT.

Don’t forget the “break in ammo cost” premium for a used gun.

Thanks for this information. I was under the impression that this program did not allow CA to participate in the Glock purchases for some reason. Are there specific glock purchases that are exempt? Maybe this is where I got my misinformation.

I got my Glock 17 OD with factory night sights two years ago for Fathers Day at Turners for $570. A little high but it was a gift to myself technically.

I got the Advantage Arms .22 caliber conversion unit, from the Glock Store, for Fathers Day last year. It has been 99% reliable and fun as well as making shooting more affordable.

Only Gen3 allowed. Basically any Glock on the roster can be purchased under blue label program.

Even proforce is selling Gen 3 police trade ins 17’s for $320ish. Just better off buying new with GSSF or for $470 new from various gunshops.
