Default Microsoft Chromium Edge Browser

It is available now on the Insider, eventually will replace current Edge. Chromium based, very, very fast and so far I haven't found any bugs in spite of being at development stage although some features do need polishing.

If you want to try it:

Running it on my SurfaceBook 2 right now. Was suprised that it pulled all my bookmarks and passwords from Chrome without asking. Seems OK so far.

Good. Edge was a disaster from the get go. Though I do use it more than any other browser currently due to the fact it's built in and easy.

I like Edge. When Chrome does not do what I need, Edge will.

Mozilla still looks far more feature packed vs Google an Microsoft.
And navigation is much more easy.

Google is evil.

Google denies altering YouTube code to break Microsoft Edge - The Verge
https://www.theverge.com/2018/12/19/...-intern-claims

Quote:
Bakita explains that “one of the reasons we [Microsoft] decided to end EdgeHTML was because Google kept making changes to its sites that broke other browsers, and we couldn’t keep up.” Bakita claims that Google added a “hidden empty div over YouTube videos” that affected Microsoft’s hardware acceleration for videos. “Prior to that, our fairly state-of-the-art video acceleration put us well ahead of Chrome on video playback time on battery, but almost the instant they broke things on YouTube, they started advertising Chrome’s dominance over Edge on video-watching battery life.”
