Default Sonoma County plinking

So I realize this is probably a well-tread subject but where the hell is there around here to shoot that isn't a shooting range? Like BLM land, etc. All that I have found is restricted and not available for shooting. I went up to Cow Mountain before discovering that there is not "shoot wherever you like" going on up there anymore per a sign at the entrance, and I read that an area up near the Geysers is a similar story. I have found small patches of land on the BLM website up near Lake Sonoma, does anyone know the status/usability of this area for target shooting? I just moved into the area from Georgia and I am originally from SoCal so I am trying to get a feel for the area. I would hate to have to drive up to Mendocino NF every time I want to shoot (when it isn't on fire apparently) or to Pollock Pines or something like that. Any ideas or advice is welcome, PM me if you are paranoid haha. Also what is the recommended gun store in the area, I seem to only see people complaining about bad ones around here, and it took me a long time thru trial and error to find a good one where I was living before.

Nothing in Sonoma County at all. Nearest spots are a couple hours drive away.

There used to be a hole in the ground in the Boggs mountain but now the whole place is closed due to fire.

The best luck I had was befriending a person with property in the woods on the west side of the county, but I have lost contact.

It really is a shame there is no place to practice drills like mag swaps, concealed carry draw, etc.
