Had the same issue with my business phone, nothing but robo/junk calls. I moved it to my iPhone Xs as a second line. Contacted Verizon and they took care of the 'porting'. Annual savings=$500

I went with a voip provider, kept the number, and pay a couple bucks a month, less than an extra line on cell plan.

The company I work for is in the progress of moving 50 small to medium sized offices away from dedicated phone lines and phone systems and going to RingCentral hosted VoIP.

The only downside is if you have no internet, you have no desk phones, unless you have the RingCentral app on your phone or 4G tablet.

We are going from $29.95/line with Spectrum/Cox/Comcast to $14.95/line with RingCentral.

how about porting it to a magicjack; you can set it to fwd to your cellphone if you'd prefer, and there IS an option for call screening now.

Google Voice (free) + Obi 220 ($69.99) = Free Phone For the Rest of Your Life

I've had my old Panasonic cordless DEC6 phones plugged into an Obi (which plugs into my router) for over 5 years now.

Zero dollar phone bills for 5+ years. Add that up boys.

The competing company, MagicMike, was popular for a while.

My concern using anything Google supplies is that it can be terminated.

https://killedbygoogle.com/

Yes, Cox or Frontier could try to stop offering phone service but I think the FCC/PUC/etc would have something to say about it.

Vonage for business and Jive are both decent cloud PBX providers for small business.
