Default Son Retires after 30 years. (Add the Legion of Merit as frosting to the 30 yrs.)

Today our eldest son retires with 30 years in the military.

He started out in Osan, Korea as Korean/Mandarin linguist and retires in Osan, Korea as Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 7th Air Force.

Other duty stations were in USA, England and Kabul, Afghanistan.

Well done Scott.

Kyle

Yeah, the younger son Michael retired a few years back with 20+ years as a Navy Seal Commander.

Both sons have done well in spite of our parenting.

They both do us proud.

Very Impressive. That is like the very tip point of the pyramid of accomplishment. Congratulations to him and his family.

That's okay, DevilDog, I represented the Corps (4 years), and brothers covered the Army and National Guard so covered everything but the Coast Guard. Not a bad showing...

Respectfully
Kyle

Wow, well done on the parenting side raising two studs. What if you were to point to did you focus on first and foremost when raising them?

Congratulations to your sons BTW, that is quite an accomplishment.

30 years in military service is unimaginable to me. A lot of hard times for sure. I could never have done it in any branch.

You sir, may take a well deserved deep breath and relax, knowing that your guidance has inspired two of our finest Americans to step up to the call and help make this country of ours the best on earth.
As the father of a young member of our nation's military, I hope someday to look back as you have done and pass along that joy.
Thank you for your service, and that of your sons.
