What's the going price for a new M9A1 or 92A1?

Not cheap right now for M9A1. AFAIK, not currently on sale at Turner's.
I'd wait til on sale with Holidays approaching. Lowest I saw there was around, I really don't remember-perhaps $649). (But 92FS lowest was $599.98 there within the past few months).

Don't know about 92A1- Off Roster.

Make sure you really want one. They're great- but I like the lines of the 92FS more. However, it is nice to have the rail, too.

Mine has a M9 slide:

If you were in my area (don't know where you are) we might consider working out something. My gun is flawless, like new, estimate less than 300 rounds. I've been thinking of trading it for a brand new 92FS or selling my M9A1 and buying 92FS myself. However, my gun is perfect and the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

I paid $675 for my 92A1 on Monday. Don't remember what the M9A1 was, maybe $650.

I wanted the 92A1 because of the improvements to the frame and slide as well as the dovetailed front sight.

If I had the choice, I would've gone with the 92A1 also. But the sole reason you got it- go ahead and 'fess up', was so that you wouldn't have to raise the takedown lever upon reassembly by yourself! My, my...some of us just refuse to literally 'lift a finger' (or thumb) to do anything!

That is a nice touch, but the main reason was because I wanted a specific package from Wilson Combat that is only available on the 92/96A1 models.

That's not bad. Does the 92A1 need to be SSE'd?

I would like to send it out to Wilson Combat as well eventually. Would I not be able to if I went with the M9A1?

The rail isn't a deal killer, just a nice feature to have. If that's so then I'll go with a 92 model

I have no idea on SSE, I live in Virginia now. If it's not on the roster then yes you will need to SSE.

Wilson has different packages for the M9A1 as well as other Beretta options. The 92A1 IMO is the best in the series and that's why I chose it.

I always prefer a rail as well. Gives you more options. I'll be running mine with a TLR-1s.

Oh well aren't you lucky to be in a free state

On their site I only saw packages for the 92, so that's why I was going with it. After looking I didn't see it on the roster so now it looks like its between the 92SF and the M9A1

If you can find a good SSE shop in your area I say spend the extra bit on the 92A1. It really is worth it IMO.

If I can't find a SSE shop by me, do you think it is better to get the 92SF instead of the M9A1?

Id go with the M9A1 because it has the beveled magazine well, checkered frame, and a light rail.

I didn't know the M9A1 had the beveled mag well. Maybe that's why they don't offer it from Wilson Combat! Thank you!

No problem. Ultimately either will serve you well.

And to get back on track, here is a pic of my M9 which is no longer in my collection. Good looking pistol though.

I'll take a better picture, but here are mine:

Left to right:

92FS, 96FS, 96 Inox

I traded a 96 Combat and some cash for a MR556 upper. Still kicking myself for ever getting rid of that gun.

The surefire dg switch is setup for my m&p that's why it looks off but not a bad fit on a m9a1 compact.

I was quoted 10 weeks. They have had my first one for about 4 weeks now, so hopefully I will be getting mine back before Christmas. Most guys are reporting they are getting theirs back in 2-3 months.

I originally only wanted one of these, but since Beretta's are always used in pairs in video games and movies, I couldn't resist.

10 weeks is a little over 2 months, so you're right in the timeframe!

Hahaha damn guess I need to get 2 now lol

Are you getting the top package done or?

The total for my first one was $1030 with shipping. I got the custom carry package plus Elite II hammer, short reach steel trigger, and G conversion with the Wilson single side lever.

I plan on getting the exact same work on the second shown above with the Streamlight.

What does the custom carry package entail?

Ah got it, want to start looking into it once I get my M9A1
and you provided Wilson Combat my address to send it once they're done correct?

Go for it. If anything, just getting an M9A1 and having the G conversion, action tune, and their sights would be an economical package and a great performer.

here's my wilson combat m9a1. g series decocker, updated sights, extended mag release, cerekote, x300ultra, trigger job, fluted guiderod, wilson etching, grips, blah blah blah. i opted to not get the lowpro decocker because i'm a lefty and i need the handles

the gun had over 5k rounds before i upgraded and let me tell you, if wilson had the option years back when i bought the gun, i would have gotten it sooner.
