Default Need a good range 9mm round for 3 guns

i know some guns don't like some rounds so i thought i'd ask.
i need a range round for
Glock 19
HK VP9
HK P30

i want to buy in bulk (1000), so i'm curious what you guys/gals would recommend. obviously i don't need super-match grade, but something decent that i could potentially reload.

would love your feedback!
thanks in advance!

For range, Blazer Brass seems to fill the bill....inexpensive and reliable (at least in all my 9s).

I also run Freedom Munitions, both new and reloads. The price is great and FTF is maybe 1%. I scored a gaggle of Nickle Plated 9s from Freedom and those shoot as good as any new rounds costing 25% more, no FTFs.

Yo Floride, you're not from around here are you. Buying 1000 rounds is not buying in bulk.

I prefer Aguila, Magtech and Fiocchi 124 for my 9's but, those guns should have no issue firing any factory 9mm ammo. Buy it cheap, stack it deep.

Winchester NATO 124 grain or Blazer 124 grain, never had an issue with either, the NATO hits a bit harder on steel knocking down plate racks and what not.

Other than that, buy a Dillon 650

well, i am a los-angeles city boy......so anything more than a box is "bulk" LOL
but i moved to vegas so i'm enjoying the freedom of there not being "evil-features". i don't know why but my hk p30 is illegal in CA, even if it has a 10 round mag...........

thought about getting a dillion 1050xl but i think i should take a class in re-loading b4 i jump into that, even though al you have to do is crank away. even better would be the Mark7 autodrive system to hook up to it. i think it does 1200 rounds/hour for the evolution series.

what if i wanted a better round? say for competition? i'm thinking of getting into the 3-Gun competitions. i've got a Stag-15L-3g-Elite, the P30L, and i still have to find a shotgun.......but for the P30L, what would you recommend.

yes, i'm a newb', except for M1-garands. that is the only rifle i really know intimately. I've got 10 Garands and 2 Carbines, but other than those, i plead complete ignorance.

And a P30 is not illegal, it is off roster. Two different things.

the Stag 3G Elite is a great rifle. it's a tad heavy b/c it's a heavy fluted stainless 18" barrel. I got a tactical upper that is 1.5 lbs lighter. I didn't have much of a choice since Stag is pretty much the only company with lefty-ARs...
and i found a great deal online for $1050.

I’d start with a Glock if you have experience shooting them.
The g34 would be my pick for a 3 gun
They break less then most pistols
Good trigger break
Strong trigger reset
Great break after the reset
Lots of holsters
Lots of accessories if you are willing to compromise some reliability for competitive edge.
Factory mags don’t wear out. Glock mags will outlast many other magazines and hold up well to being dropped repeatedly in the games. And they are normally found for under $25/ each

I guess I need to spell it out....If you want a better round, make it yourself.

And what the heck is "match grade" 9mm? If you mean something that meets power factor, then making it yourself would give you the best control over that.

Extreme 147 gr over 3.2 gr of Titegroup makes 125PF plus.

yes, i need things to be spelled out for me. if i didn't i wouldn't need to post.
i have not started to reload yet. as i said b4, i'll need to take a class on reloading and then possibly move towards a super re-loader.

i said the only gun i know and shoot is an M1, so i need to know a Brand and name, and a weight. and a vendor with a link would be even better.

i'm sorry you seem to be frustrated by my question. i just know from my research that some guns don't like certain rounds of ammo. it's not bad ammo. it'd not a bad gun. it's just for some reason they just don't play nice together.

as far as match grade, it's parts and guns and modifications that are made for competitions (matches). there are national matches every year at different military bases. i think Camp-Perry is the most popular, but i've never been. i've seen parts kits for ARs that have match grade triggers, m1 with match grade Krieger barrels.....
so a match grade bullet would be any bullet that has a performance record of a spread/grouping for a particular distance. "Match" is just the best of the best.

What kind of 3 gunner living in Free America doesn't Reload? A sponsored shooter, well, yeah.

When you and the gun are up to it, Winchester 124 grain NATO is capable both in accuracy and reliability
to put you in the winner's circle for Bianchi and for Steel Challenge.

Next question.

i'm new to the 3-gun. just heard about it a few months back and then started to get gear very recently. i want to take a reloading class and then possibly get a multi-stage like a dillion 650 or 1050 if the funds are there, but at this point i need to just buy ammo.....but i've been putting together a handgun collection, mostly in 9-mil which is why i asked about the 3 models....glock 19, HK VP9, and HK P30. i subscribe to 1 channel on youtube with this guy who tests and compares guns and often 1 brand has issues with the gun or the gun has issues w/ the 1 brand. hence my original question.

If you are just getting into matches ANY 9mm factory ammo will work fine.
If you get to the point where the ammo is preventing you from scoring higher then you are at the stage where reloading should be what you're doing.

Shoot the sheet out of a stock G17 for 1 year. If not happy, sell it for 90% and move to another model. Leave it bone stock. Just shoot it. Done.

One 1,000 round case of Winchester White Box 115 FMJs. Plenty accurate and it's excellent brass you will need later. Done.

Ask six competitors for a tour of their reloading set up. Done.

Buy one of 1,000 round case of Winchester White Box 115 FMJs. Plenty accurate and it's excellent brass that you will need later. Done.

Until you can cross off all of the above you will be guessing. That is unless sport shooting has caught you hook & line & sinker.
