Smith & Wesson S&W Model 14 no dash 6" $490 Pasadena, Los Angeles, OC
Make: Smith and Wesson (S&W)
Model: Model 14 no dash 6 inch barrel Caliber: .38 spl. Very soft shooter. Great for target shooting. I prefer 38 spl over 357 mag. Location (city or county): Pasadena, Glendale, West Covina, Cerritos, Los Angeles, flexible Price: $490 Will ship (Y/N): N Other info: Serial number: k410645. Manufactured in 1960. Jeweled hammer and trigger - looks very classy. The trigger is wider than the factory trigger so it gives me better surface area to pull the trigger consistently and more comfortably. Not sure if trigger job was done, but the trigger feels really smooth and clean. They don't make them like they used to. And it has no Hillary hole! Comes with Pachmayr rubber grips - comfortable to shoot. Number of owners unknown. I bought it off a Calgunner 2 1/2 years ago. Unknown round count. I fired two-three hundred rounds. It's been sitting in the safe mostly. Selling it because I have multiple 38 special revolvers. It has a tight cylinder lock-up, perfect timing, bluing is fantastic - slight wear near the muzzle and cylinder. Amazing condition considering it's 58 years old! Notice that the screws have not been stripped and no dents or scrapes on the side plates. It's been well-taken care of. Rifling is still outstanding. It's very accurate. I have it aligned for a 6 O'clock hold. The 6 inch barrel gives it a longer sight radius and more time for the gun powder to burn off, leading to a softer recoil and better accuracy. And since it's a K-frame, it has excellent balance - doesn't feel nose-heavy at all even with the 6 inch length. No box or papers. Own a piece of history, it's a no dash! The original. No dashes don't come around very often. It's got some character-wear, but it's an heirloom material. Last edited by Wordupmybrotha; 08-25-2018 at 6:36 PM.. |
