Arrow Glock 42 pics leaked!

Yup, it's a .380 and it's single stack!

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2...stack-380-acp/

Quote:
"These two catalog or magazine photos purport to show the upcoming Glock 42. I think they look legit. The specifications are almost exactly what I predicated they would be, not because I am some sort of gun seer, but because it they simply make the most sense.

The specifications are for a .380 ACP pistol with 6+1 capacity, white-dot notch sights, a 5.5lbs trigger pull and a overall weight of 13.4 oz empty."

I just find this hysterical, really.

They're introducing something which is soooooo fifteen years ago, and frankly won't sell well except for the glawk fan bois who will scream "IT'S THE GREATEST THING ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH WHYYRHEHGYTHEYDHTHTUGHEUUEHHSURYGYRHWHTYTHR" *brain explodes*

Nobody wants a single stack, six round .380: they want a slim 9mm single stack.

What Glock was thinking when they made this, I don't know....

Hmmmm..... Its basically the same size as a Springfield XDS .45

But holds one more round of .380

So 6 rounds of .45acp or 7 rounds of .380

Gaston I think the .380 hype died a couple years ago.

If true, it would be a big failure on Glock's part... They missed the boat with pocket pistols like the Shield and XDs.

Was hoping for single stack 9mm, guess I still have to stick with my 4th Gen Glock 26.

From the serial number it's obviously made in USA
But yes, it would have been better in 9mm.

Last I heard the g42 was still supposed to be double stacked. so the thickness is still going to be there. Im more interested in the possibility of a the g41 being a smaller 45

Way too big to be a competitive pocket pistol with the current offerings on the market.

Hell, it's going to be just a hair bigger than the Kahr CM9 based on those measurements.

L:5.94"
H: 4.13"
W:0.94"

Kahr CM9
L:5.42"
H:4"
W:0.9"

And my pocket 380, the Ruger LCP
L:5.15"
H:3.6"
W:0.82"

Glock will have a winner with the die-hard Glock Fanboys. Personally, I'm not going to rush out to replace my LCP with it, and I will stick with my G33 for IWB carry. Quite frankly, with the listed dimensions it should be a single stack 9mm, not a 380.

That would make no sense for the G42 to be a double stack sub-compact 380. Glock already makes one, it's called the G25.

what if glock is just trolling us all... and its actually a single stack 9 or something.

or this "leak" is simply here to test the waters?

if its real though... i don't see this welling well, at least not compared to their other models. why not just do a single stack 9?
i also fail to see why i would want this over a small revolver - they'd cost about the same, the revolver would be more reliable, and have more powerful rounds with 1 or maybe 2 less rounds. id imagine if someone is resorting to carrying this in the first place, i'd imagine they aren't going to be carrying extra mags, so the easier reload is probably out the window too. at least with a 9 i can see people wanting it for the shared ammo.

As much as I like Glock, if the dimensions, price, and caliber are as listed, I can't see myself buying it over an LCP or CM9.

Meh.

It will for sure sell with the fanbois.

But with those dimensions, I will stick with the Bodyguard .380 ,SIG 238,and 938.

I dont see a point for it. I'll stick to carrying my g19

If you want something small and in a .380 there are plenty of other choices, not impressed with glock on this one.

Hmph. A .380? I like Glocks, but they can keep it. Make it in 9MM and I'll be interested.

Cool A Glock .380 is a welcome relief.

I just hope the CA-approved model does not have one of those idiotic "loaded chamber indicators."
