Default C&R Pistol Picture Thread!

Ok, so I was looking for an all inclusive thread where I could get ideas for what other cool stuff is out there, but couldn't find one! Post your C&R pistols

Sorry that pic is huge...I don't know what happened....

It's a Borchardt. My grandfather brought it home from France. He was in the 95th Infantry 312 CIC, I really wish I knew where he got it.

Obviously not an authentic Red 9 C96 (it's actually a 1931 M30) but a good shooter. The P4 is the shorter version of the P1 from '75 (not C&R).

Nice collection and great pictures Black Majik. That P1/P38 looks like it's brand new. Good photography, window light?

Supposed Vietnam bring back (no papers, and no, I did not pay extra for the story ), picked up at Ventura gun show.

1941 Tula, no import marks, no after-market safety.

Friends! I have returned from my extended vacation at a luxury beach resort! After seven months of boredom, aggravation, hatred and chewing people out for being complete incompetent morons (ok, still have a little aggravation and hatred built up...) I went into my gun store and it was like the Christmas I didn't get! They had been dreading the paperwork since the 3rd one showed up, but I must start with a shoutout to Gunfighter Tactical for their hard work and support. They're really a great group of guys.

Anyways, onto the pictures!

(uploading shortly)

Before you ask, my wife got a new car. I got what I wanted

I picked up this nice P38 that was on consignment today. I bought it mostly because of the "byf" which matches my luger. Goes together nicely I think

P08 "black widow" byf 1942
P38 1944 byf

That was pretty much my reaction as well.

One a' them and a Mars pistol are on my lottery fantasy very short list.
Come to think of it, I'd probably pay folding money just to rent them.

Those were the days, when the average taxpayer was obviously considered more trust worthy by the gummint than us modern masses.

Here's my oldies, obviously every expense was spared.

Clockwise from lower left: 1890-1892, 1943, 1931, 1944.

The H&R is .32 S&W BP only.

The Nambu was a WWII vet bring back, it looks like at some point he decided to clean it up by sanding the rust off, over most of the top of the pistol. It almost looks two-tone.

The K-22 is first year production, got it with a Marble front sight and different aftermarket stocks installed by original owner.

The Victory Model is blued w/o martial markings, I read that some were put out like this for Civil Defense use. Judging from the serial number V765XXX, it was one of the very last ones with the old style hammer block safety mounted in the side plate.

It came with the unusual front sight, jeweled hammer & trigger, and later model stocks. This kind of stuff doesn't really bug me, I figure it's like somebody in the '50's would've modified it, so it's kinda period correct rather than factory correct. I put the lanyard loop on there, just had to!

The front sight had me wondering, since the barrel certainly appears original, and I knew it wasn't a later model replacement as were the stocks, like this:

Turns out it seems to have been built up from the factory front sight. If you get it under the light just right, you can see the outline of the original half-moon shape:

Anybody ever see a mod like this before?
