Knifes under $150?
I know nothing about knifes and looking to get some input.
They would be gifts to my office guys at work. But a after looking I feel like I just opened Pandora’s box. Any help would be great and best place to buy them. Thanks |

Are we talking knives under $150 each or under $150 total for all of them? Might also be good to know what business you are your guys are in so we fit a suggestion to that.
In terms of where to buy, I like Bladehq.com, knifedepot.com, and of course Amazon. Even without the info my instinct says, Kershaw Link in Blue with the American Flag etching on the scales: https://www.bladehq.com/item--Kersha...fe-Blue--52152

You can get them a nice custom shop Buck 110 Folding Hunter with BOS S30V blade for about $150. Now that would be a gift they remember.
Check out the custom build options at Buckknives.com.

I love Great Eastern Cutlery too. Great choice for something unique and classic. If you want something they can use with one hand, you'd be better off looking at Spyderco PM2's or many ZT models. Benchmades are ok. I think I paid $140 for my 810 Contego BK... that's a great knife.

Get them the Benchmade Impel. They are going for $161.50 at BladeHQ but you could probably get a better price buying more than 5. It is one of the nicest California legal autos I have. And considerably cheaper then my Microtechs.

+1 on the 551. Hard to go wrong with a BM Griptillion in that price range. A great EDC knife.

Found my Zero Tolerance for about $80, but even at $125ish on Amazon I would buy it again. Super durable, super reliable, and as of yet I haven't had to deal with their customer service, but according to feedback it seems to be top notch. Good luck

Personally I would want something super cool like a hunting knife or just something unique. I have both of these on my wishlist and they aren't even close to your $150 price range:
Hunting Knife: http://amzn.to/2A6ymef Tomahawk: http://amzn.to/2zo2bnD If you give more details, I can recommend better, more specific knives and brands but these ones are just too damn cool especially for the price. |

550 looks like it was inspired by Terry Bradshaw's forehead or the Humpback of Notre Dame's back.
Serrated drop point makes for a great EDC blade. I do like a clip point better. Good for most chores you'll run up against in the everyday world. Sure there are better blades for skinning bucks, taking out sentrys, or filleting fish. But for everyday work I'd take a BM drop point combo edge if I couldn't get a clip point. If anyone is looking for folders that ARE tactical-like.... other than the Spydercos, Benchmades, etc... check out any Rexford or Les George designed ZT's.
If you could get an 0909, 0801, or 0808 for $150... those would be loved. Doesn't get much smoother and beefier than this for $135... https://www.bladehq.com/cat--ZT-0909--2192 |

I may need to start working with you!!
I would buy a decent fixed blade and folder for them. For a fixed I'd look at Schrade for low cost fixed blade beasts. For folder I'd go with benchmade, spyderco, Cold Steel, Fox Drago, Browning Stacked Deck, or any Boker Plus blades. |

There are a couple more just over $150 on sale at BHQ too... a ZT Emerson and a updated 0801 which is another great ZT.
Here's a great example of a cheap knife that's worth $8 https://www.bladehq.com/item--Smith-...actical--21791 I left this one in my car for a few weeks and the actual FRAME cracked clean through at the pivot like a shrinkydink. ZT's typically don't break in half from storing in the car. ERGO's on that S&W are actually pretty good, but typical cheap import crap. |
