Default WWI Gear Pics

So i got a new camera and was digging around in some of my great grandfather's gear while in the safe and realized the gun he was issued is one that I purchased from the CMP program, an M1917. I even had his old bayonet! I figured I'd post some up. Enjoy!

Default M1917 bayonet

hello, thanks for posting the photos and story of the M1917. i was researching a bayonet i found among my late step-father's belongings when i came across your thread. my bayonet from the muzzle mount and forward looks very much like the bayonet shown one of your photos. the length of my bayonet's handle from the muzzle mount back to the end of the handle measures 4 1/2" and the opening diameter of the muzzle mount is 5/8". how does this compare with yours? is there any market or value to these relics? thanks for your time, mike
